Adam had a lot of things planned for Velvet but it was not to be this year. Not at all his doing. Wish people would realize that before complaining that not enough attention has been paid to that fabulous album. The Queen gigs are great and Adam has really benefited from that collaboration. Hope we get at least another year or two more. He is also branching out into other forms of entertainment so I bet he will do just fine in the future. I am here for the long haul. ETA: I also want to say that all of it is Adam's career. I don't think we should be breaking it down into sections. Whatever he decides to do in the future is all part of his career whether it's solo albums and performances, his collab with Queen, his TV work and maybe stage work in the future. Who knows what will be. I'd like to see him in a film someday! Adam had things planned for "Velvet" this year and he also had plans with Queen, however Covid struck and caused all these cancellations. Additionally, prior to it both promo cycles for "Velvet" got messed up as well, which was unfortunate and no one's fault but it sure didn't help. For those, including me, who were looking forward to another chapter in Adam's solo career it is disappointing that "Velvet" seems to have fallen by the wayside, unless we'll be surprised somehow, while Queen will most likely make up for it in spades next year. I understand that there are reasons for it and that both projects hold different gravity, but with due respect for Adam's collaboration with Queen that he and his fans have greatly benefitted from I think it should be okay and not frowned upon when expressing disappointment. I am not arguing that Adam needs to make the decisions that are in his best interest. It is his career and his journey.

When it comes to the live theatrical interpretation of the studio. Prefer Adam and Queen continue to tour. He's making a hell alot money. No way he would be selling out arenas as a solo. Of course i signed up for his solo. But as it is circumstances dictate.

Of course i signed up for his solo. But as it is circumstances dictate.Agree. Most of Adam's true fans love solo Adam and were excited about the Velvet tour. But things happened that he had no control over. Everyone out there knows that. He didn't just suddenly decide he did not want to tour the album. And he loves QAL and so do many of us. QAL were likely in much better shape to get a reschedule. By the time Adam can tour Velvet, it would likely be useless for him. He probably could not even get the Xtina arena co-tour back off the ground. And the European tour fell apart. Yes we are disappointed. He was disappointed too. But we are not in control of the decisions he needs to make for himself and his career going forward. Adam was very fortunate that when everything shut down, he already had the QAL stadium tour and a handful of Velvet concerts done. He made some big money even without the big finish. If everything is a go, he is also fortunate that he already has QAL European and possibly SA ready to go. The first half of 2021 he may try to use that time to get working on something new for his solo career. It has been hard for him and everyone else. But I think he will be in good shape when the time is right. At least I hope he will.
