Such a lovely homage from Brian and his guitar. Gerry Marsden, from Gerry and the Pacemakers, was a remarkable songwriter and singer from that band. They had so many hits. They were part of that early British Invasion of great artists, along with the Beatles. From what I remember, Gerry went on to be a music producer. So many artists from that '60s are in their seventies and older now. We are losing some great ones. That era turned the music world upside-down and gave us an endless list of classic songs. I confess that I am not familiar with the other person Brian was honoring.
