You can get just the DVD (or Blue-Ray), and sooner or later they will put up just the CD as well. You don't have to buy the entire box set. At Amazon, the DVD is $14, the Blu-Ray is $20, and the MP3 download (contains both March & Nov shows) is $19. If you want an actual audio CD, then get the Delux Box Set for $68 which contains 2 CDs (March show & Nov show), 1 DVD & 1 Blu-Ray, plus other printed stuff. I can't find the link now (I did see it previously) but in the announcement it also stated that there would be a North American exclusive box (cheaper than the full box set) which would be a Blu-Ray/CD combo. The only vagueness of it was whether or not it included just the November gig or both March and November. March is the one I'm really excited about...with Fairy Fellers Master-Stroke and Great King Rat. I pre-ordered the big box, but with this summer's expenses, I probably *SHOULD* downgrade to a Blu-Ray/CD combo (as long as it contained both gigs)...but we'll see!

Not really. If you asked them they would probably say they are against it. But they aren't so against it to take much action. Brian has stated that he doesn't really like it as he feels recordings cheapens what should be a relationship between the band and the audience that night. But he understands it happens. Roger particularly hates those who make money off bootleg recordings. In 2004 Queen tried to combat the bootleggers by making some of the bootlegs available on their official site (I can't remember if they charged) - but they were the exact bootlegs out there...It was called The Top 100 Bootlegs. But it ended up being abandoned after like 32 or something. To sum up, I think they are aware it happens, they aren't happy about it, but as long as it isn't being sold, they accept it. I imagine like everyone else they may have changed with the times. As we've discussed here the whole sales structure is different and Brian's tweeting links to streams even. The audience is no longer just in the arena or just during the tour, it's 365/24/7. Not really. Brian's quotes were pretty recent. And he's definitely not tweeting the stream. His webmistress tweeted them. TOTALLY different. Brian only really does his soapbox and doesn't look at the rest of the site.

Adam understands that the videos and social media grow his fanbase and keep fans engaged. Queen has allowed fans to share video and recordings for 40 years. They also understand that it keeps their fans engaged. Peter Frampton is clearly a dinosaur! (And that is not an age-thing -- it is understand the digital world.) Now if the venues would just get on board with the new program! Is it documented anywhere that Queen is OK with recordings? Not really. If you asked them they would probably say they are against it. But they aren't so against it to take much action. Brian has stated that he doesn't really like it as he feels recordings cheapens what should be a relationship between the band and the audience that night. But he understands it happens. Yup We all have different views! I mean I didn't hate it And Freddie might have loved it for all I know. I prefer Freddie playing the piano if only because I love his rhythmic, percussive playing!

Adam's KQ must be driving a vast majority straight males into some very "uncomfortable" place ... right? perhaps that's what makes it OTT for you, Talon? Nah. I was a theater major. I watched (and was involved in) plenty of OTT camp-activities. That stuff doesn't "bother" me or make me feel "uncomfortable" in the slightest. I mean I was definitely not uncomfortable - maybe it just was kind of overshadowing the song a bit for me? *shrug*

This one I enjoyed quite a bit more than usual. It can get a bit tired, but due to Adam needing a costume change, it allowed Brian to jam a bit at the end and get a little more spotlight which was nice.
Vocally it shows how great the guys could harmonize!

Not a popular opinion here as I know you all LOVE it...it's a bit OTT for me...not so much that it ruins the song for me like it did some OTT Queen fans (see what I did there;) ). AND I'm REALLY glad they performed it.
I also really enjoyed the Adam-Brian interaction.
Queen always straddled the rock-theatrical thing very well. This began to slide a bit too much theatrical for my tastes but to each their own.
Vocally he handled it VERY well!

Another track not quite in Adam's wheelhouse that improved as the tour went on. Adam and Brian's give and take in the middle was a highlight and the ending drama of the song was right up his alley. So this is always a great live song and Adam handles it well.
Underrated I think.

One of the highlights for sure for me. Adam and Roger work well together - and I always really appreciate seeing Rog sing and drum.
The song is so good that it practically performs itself, but Adam does it quite well and quite deferential to Roger as well.
