Don't know how the sad passing of Cory will affect Glee's shooting schedule, although I assume they'd probably delay no more than a few days. I haven't watched the show before, but I thought I read that Cory's role had been somewhat diminished last season while he fought his demons.
I'm very glad the announcement of Adam joining the show was made before Cory's death so no one assumes he was brought in hastily as a replacement. Also, now it will be awkward for the producers to make any upbeat announcements for awhile. Beyond that I can't imagine that any Glee fans would have animosity towards Adam.
Young people sometimes feel invincible and then after addiction gets ahold of them it is sometimes impossible to shake. Hopefully some of his young fans will learn from htis and think twice before experimenting wih drugs as a result of this tragedy.

Yikes, i peeked over at the old old place & won't do it again. I stan Adam because I admire him so much and can't understand why anyone would spend their time talking about someone they want to see fail! Q3 has way better self control than me.
I was an intern at RCA in LA in the early 90's and they didn't have one exciting contemporary artist on the label at that time, instead doing mostly reissues of artists that were already dead. I have no clue who's on what label anymore but it sounds like maybe RCA still likes playing it safe - boring!
I'm looking forward to Adam having great success on Glee and with whatever record label is lucky enough to get him.

So many accolades above from writers who appreciate Adam's talent as much as we do, but as others have similarly mentioned, the line in the Billboard article about Trespassing and Kickin In being "megahits in a fairer pop universe" made me sad. Sometimes I wonder which is a tougher battle for superstardom for Adam, the fact that he is gay or the fact that he was on AI. The female AI alumni seem to have had a little easier time gaining widespread mainstream acceptance. In fact, although Kelly, Carrie and Jennifer were everywhere on the Grammys the last few years, I can't think of another man from Idol who is a household name. Its a double edged sword. Adam has himself said many times that without Idol he would never have been given a record deal because of his sexuality. Unfortunately, in an industry where vocal talent should matter above all else, it often doesn't matter very much at all. This pisses me off, but at least I can say that although they're also not related to his voice, his good looks and charisma have been good for his career!

That was a nice plug for Adam - and especially Trespassing - on Idol. Hopefully some of the people who bought FYE but then didn't really follow Adam's career after that will be motivated to pick up Trespassing as a result.

Thank you so much for the nice welcomes earlier today! I've actually been on the site from the beginning and finally became a member. I was also at the old place, which I went to when I left the AI focused place. In other words, I've been following Q3 around almost as long as I've been following Adam!
I'm usually here late at night & otherwise pop in and out. When my five year old with excellent musical taste - an Adam fan since age one -starts school I hope to participate in the conversation more.
Speaking of maps I always enjoyed seeing where everyone is located. I'm in New Mexico, USA.

Hi! Coming out of lurkdom to share that my ex-BF - who I guess is now my BFF - just texted me from Napa where he is at a private wine tasting to say that the wine manager is Adam's uncle! Don't know how that came up in conversation but of course he told the gentleman of my obsession with Adam. Now my day is ruined as I will keep checking my phone waiting to hear the scoop.
Wonder if there is any connection with the performance Adam had in Napa Valley awhile back?
If I find out any sweet anecdotes, I will definitely come back later to share.
