When I listen to GET LUCKY and then SHADY---it is absolutely incomprehensible to me that the former becomes a big hit and the latter gets ignored. Just unbelievable! The beats-and Nile's funky guitar- playing are prominent in both, but the quality and the range of the singing and the catchy lyrics in Shady far outshine the repetition in Get Lucky. Does it take a musical genius to recognize this???? Is it possible that the general public can only handle a minimum amount of lyrics in one song-therefore endless songs with repetitious lyrics.......Adam, you are at a different level when it comes to your gift as a musician.

Please, Kamar, I was just about ready to go to turn off my computer and go to sleep after a full day of news--too full, for sure, when I read what you just wrote. PLEASE , dear one, don't even think of such a thing!!! Like you, I keep positive energy for our Adam in my heart always and don't even dare to entertain possibilities of the unthinkable. I feel comforted knowing that Adam has a loving family and friends here in southern California and I do pray for his protection and safety and that is all we can do. BUT----YOUR LIFE IS PRECIOUS and you have gifts that you are meant to share with the world.Do you think for one moment that such a statement would bring joy to anyone, including Adam???? When I met him backstage at the San Diego concert, he greeted me with the most beautiful smile I have ever seen. I really believe he is here to spread, as he says, LIGHT and LOVE Can you even begin to imagine how the lives of all who know and love you would be diminished for always?
Stay well. XO

How very sad about Cory Monteith......RIP
Skylar, I love your heartfelt write-up about Adam. While reading it, I felt like you opened up the window to my heart and poured out, in the most articulate way , the very reasons why I love and admire Adam so much. Throughout the years in my 5th grade classroom, I hung a huge, framed photograph of Jackie Robinson #42 for the Brooklyn Dodgers, baseball team. {He was the first African American baseball player in Major League Baseball and endured so much hate and ridicule by those who were prejudiced and intolerant and against the integration of the players.} Underneath the photo is the simple word,in big, bold print COURAGE, followed by the dictionary definition. I wanted my students to know that they all had it within themselves, to demonstrate this virtue in their own lives.
Well, I was a young girl who grew up in Brooklyn, NY and although Jackie was before my time,I was and still am a Dodger fan and I've always been drawn to people who display courage and integrity. So,4 years ago, I saw another young person who just seemed to have a special spark, something different, something that out shined even his beautiful voice for me and slowly, little by little I could easily see that Adam Lambert was truly a truly a man of courage. So, now that I am in San Diego, I can still go to see my Dodgers play-and look forward to the times that Adam performs here on the west coast. How blessed am I?
Thank you again, Skylar.Your writing reflects such insight regarding our Adam.

Thank you, Craazyforadam-for your well thought- out perspective on the day's controversy regarding Adam and RCA. I can see you have made excellent ,valid points and underlying all your comments, is your unwavering belief in Adam's talent and the devotion of his fan base. I sleep easily tonight knowing that people all over the world will be listening -and loving Adam's voice and of course The man himself, for generations to come.

Dear Alyssa, Every word you wrote just melted my heart because they are all so true. This man has a magic that really can't be compared to anyone. And - he has the most warm and loving heart. Like you, I had to keep moving because the security people were so adamant in keeping us going through the line so quickly but nothing could diminish the thrill of seeing that beautiful, welcoming smile as I walked towards him. I'm so happy you got to meet him-and in such an unexpected way! It was meant to happen for you.XO
Regarding Adam's makeup _I always try to remember that he has been a theater kid since he was a little boy-only 10 years old, performing in community musicals here in SD. For him, the stage and makeup go together--even though we know he's beautiful with or without it.
