Would love some input from those of you who saw the film. I have a rather sophisticated 10 year old grandson. He has grown up in a gay-transgender-transitioning household so that aspect of the film is not an issue. What about the rest of it? He loves WATC and WWRY Maybe too sad? There is some sadness regarding the way Freddie is portrayed as lonely throughout the film but the music and the concert sequences are spectacular and balance everything out. If I were you I’d take him. I think he will love the music. At times, it’s like being at a live show and Rami is beyond amazing. I teared up during Live Aid but that’s because it’s so freaking good and it makes me so proud of what they have achieved. I’m going again tonight and tomorrow.

So I saw the movie last night in IMAX. The sound was incredible and this band just makes me so happy in all of its forms. Rami Malek is outstanding beyond words. He really embodies Freddie’s physicality and oh my, the costumes are incredible! I thought that Adam’s cameo was slightly longer in the early cut I saw but It’s really awesome nonetheless. Even casual Queen fans will probably find something to like in this movie but if nothing else, the Live Aid sequence is simply phenomenal filmmaking. Going again tomorrow and Saturday! Yes I’m a dork, lol. I am sitting in IMAX waiting for movie to start!! First showing in my time, but only about 2 dozen people at the IMAX showing. Let us know what you think!

Nope, no troll. I just think he should be a legend that's why I'm talking about it. In 20, 50 years from now nobody will know who Kelly Clarkson was. Cher - hard to say, probably the same situation Cher has already had a 50 yr career. Barbara Streisand, Toni Bennett, Bette Midler. None wrote their own songs. If you are arguing he's not a good writer because he plays no instrument, possibly. If you are arguing he can't be successful unless he writes, not true. However he doesn't seem interested in just choosing demo songs, so not sure what you are even saying anymore. He's doing it his way, even if that means he's not meeting up to your legend standards. Yup, exactly. This is a slightly different topic but what I find interesting about artists throughout history is that they look at their legacy in so many ways. I once heard Dave Grohl say that Foo foghters haven’t created their opus yet, their Bohemian Rhapsody. There aren’t too many Bo Rhaps and Stairway to Heavens throughout history, grandiose songs that just set the bar super high for other artists. That’s not to say that there’s not gazillions of legendary songs from so many artists but a handful which are on that level. So many legends throughout history and that makes me smile and legends are in the making as we speak in 2018.

Is that your benchmark of success, legend or bust? How about Cher? Me thinks we have a troll .. Nope, no troll. I just think he should be a legend that's why I'm talking about it. In 20, 50 years from now nobody will know who Kelly Clarkson was. Cher - hard to say, probably the same situation Somehow I think Cher will be remembered forever. She’s been in the public eye over 50 years already, since 1965. And love or hate her, she’s legendary, arguably as much for her acting as her music. I personally think she’s a terrific actress especially in Mask.

And I've seen The Wizard of OZ many times since childhood with my family and was never traumatized or scared in a bad way. Just in kind of a fun way. I even liked the flying monkeys and thought they were kind of goofy. They weren't evil. They just had to do the Wicked Witch's bidding. I remember that The Wizard of Oz was on every year when I was little and we watched it every year way before we had DVR. I loved as a little kid but hate it now and Margaret Hamilton as the Wicked Witch was so frightening. On the other hand, I love Wicked and have seen it a few times.

This review got 3 1/2 stars. Same criticisms....didn't delve enough into Freddie's backstory. That seems to be the consensus but I’m guessing they were going for a different angle and wanted to protect Freddie’s legacy as much as possible, which I respect. I read a review where the person said horrible things about Brian and Roger which are uncalled for.

I wonder if Adam's name will be in the credits? It's a small role but he IS the band's front man and should get some official recognition. At least that's how I see it. I'd love to see his name listed in the cast. I think that is based on having a speaking part but forgive me if I’m wrong about that. It would be based on SAG rules and the studio and not Bri or Rog.

I need to talk about something that I'm feeling rather sad about. I'm very happy for Brian and Roger that the movie is getting such great response. I feel like Adam is being left out of everything, I don't think he was invited to go to the London premiere. They have had such little publicity for 6 years of amazing concerts and to see this unbelievable amount of press regarding this movie just makes me feel like Adam had been slighted. I just wish that somehow Adam had been included in this more. Adam's comment about being a C list star makes me wonder if he really doesn't feel like the frontman for queen but more of a cover band singer. I understand that the movie is primarily about Freddie's life but Adam has brought Freddie's Legacy and Queen's Legacy to life over the last several years. He gave Queen a new found life that without Adam I don't believe would really exist at this level. I don't know, feeling sad
I am certain Adam could have gone to the London Premiere. Certain.
I am also certain Adam was joking when he making that comment about being a C list star. He refers to himself as Queen's current frontman, so I don't think there is anything else going on with that comment.
I agree about the premiere. Tyler was invited but is on tour and Spike was there. I’m sure the NYC premiere is more convenient for him.

So pay attention and be on the lookout for Dusty Madrid between 30-40 minutes into it...in America....at a truck stop. Seems many Glamberts have spotted him so that bodes well for the rest of us. I was so worried that I’d screwed up the location but I was right after all, a truck stop in America! I leaned over to my friend who knows Adam but isn’t a big fan and she saw him too. I needed confirmation since it was pretty quick, lol.
