Not really OT because Adam adores her, but OMFG! Christina’s new song is awful! And the video is worse! Must have cost all of $50 to make that video!! I agree,IMHO,the music and antics so,beneath Christina's talent.I found it cheapening womanhood .. to me the video wasn't sexy it was awful..YUCK. Just to say she is one of my favorite singers of all time and I'm disappointed.

Since things are slow....for now..lol....here's a list of Prince songs the Idol contestants will sing this week in addition to a song from the year they were born. To tie it to Adam......Gabby will be singing How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore. I didn't realize this was a Prince song. Never was a big Prince fan....only knew about a few songs he wrote. Cade Foehner: “Jungle Love” (sung by The Time, written and produced by Prince) Caleb Lee Hutchinson: “When Doves Cry” Catie Turner: “Manic Monday” (The Bangles song, written by Prince) Gabby Barrett: “How Come U Don’t Call Me Anymore” Jurnee: “Kiss” Maddie Poppe: “Nothing Compares 2 U” Michael J. Woodard: “I Would Die 4 U” www.billboard.com/articles/news/television/8448759/american-idol-prince-tribute-top-7-songs?utm_source=twitterAdam is the best ever .. I love his rendition, so sexy...Thanks for posting bamafan .I am missing Adam soooooo much.. This weekend will help some...but new music is so needed emotionally.SIGH

I am still hoping that Adam's music and talent will take center stage this time. It always seems that his enormous talent is overlooked and takes a backseat. Male LGBT artists don't seem to be doing well right now in the US. Sam's new song is going nowhere. Troye, after all the hoopla over his sexuality, didn't go far. How is going back to the AMA mess helpful to anyone? I think it hurt Adam in the US. Feels like moving backward instead of forward, imo. The media will love to make that the focus again and again and again, instead of looking at how much he has accomplished in a tough and often unfair environment. Ive said this many times.. But I wish the gay community would support their own artists more.. Can you imagine if that community acted like the African American Community does in supporting their singers/ actors etc..Success breeds success.. and numbers count. IMHO,If there was widespread support from this community more support and success would follow. Adam was a bit of a,being out ,right away pioneer in the music business,so I think he will always be asked how have things changed, etc. I do agree the gay stuff does get real tiresome and talking about all that Adam has accomplished would be soooo great. He is very famous around the world . If America seems to lag behind, it is what it is ,but it can change BTW Janelle Manae has come out as Queer (bi-sexual)in Rolling Stone magazine... IMHO The more artists who come out, the better for the gay community and the world. www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEddixS-UoU

Sam didn't come out until Stay With Me was HUGE in he UK & getting a good start in the US. He was not out when Stay With Me first came out. IDK, if it would have made a difference. no way to tell. US radio seems to love UK artists, so he probably would have gotten the play here no matter what. Good point Pattihum I just hope the RCA guy who moved over to Warner after ,Adam's move ,won't have a negative effect on Adam's new music. Hope Warner puts money and muscle into getting the songs played

I don't agree! Sam is doing things now that he didn't do from the beginning. He was already a major star and accepted for his music long before he started to really express himself. Adam on the other hand was attacked from the beginning on his sexuality. He wasn't given a chance by some once that was known. Don't know why his label let him down after that amazing first album and tour. He should have been non stop on our radio's , TV, award shows etc. Can't go back so forward it is and Adam has taken the bull by the horns and done it his way! Thank God for QAL. What don't you agree with...you are saying just what i said...all I wondered was whether Sam's new found openness will have an impact on his popularity....good grief... Sam was 'out' from very early on if I remember correctly...he was just so very 'safe'....which is just what I said. He has now gotten much more open and flamboyant and I just mused on the possible impact of that. I am not a fan of his...I am here am I not? I think there may already be an impact here in the United states.Whether his second album just isn't as popular or whether he wore high heels and said basically that he feels as much a woman as a man made an impact.. Can't tell. IMHO,His second album doesn't have the numbers the first one did.I respect him so much for being the real Sam.. he's talented, fun and can help to make a difference for the LGBTQ community.. Just hope he opens the door for others..IMO I still think he's a bit of a token in the U.S.music industry.I still feel that Adam was going to be the token until he refused to play the game..I'm undecided on how I feel about Billboard having a gay pride section for gay singers and their supporters..Does it help or stigmatize.. To add, Boy George said ,to paraphrase ,that if Adam was an English singer he would be huge..
