I just wonder where the song will be in a week or two weeks if the chart results are not "authentic." That is what I mean by long-run. Is this type of process the norm in the UK? Are fans routinely asked by an artist's management to go to such extremes to try to manufacture a position on the chart. And I say this as someone who really thinks Shoshana is awesome.
I just find this whole experience really bizarre. And that's all I will say because my intent is not to tick people off.
eta---I do not believe anyone said the song was a failure. That is certainly not the case. At all. I will say, it has yet to be a hit anywhere---and that can't be helping the situation in the UK.

I made the mistake of reading the comments on some of these sites about the Idol judge thing, and trying to put in my two cents about how great Adam is. The hate is unbelievable and unjust. Do you think they are jealous of his many talents, beauty and charisma? I don't really get it. I had to run back here where people are sane! Eh, there was a huge brouhaha around America's Got Talent hiring Howard Stern as a judge. Parents Television Council and various other right wing organizations threatening boycotts. All that has happened is AGT's ratings went up and Stern has done nothing to sully the "family show."

Jealous maybe. I don't get it either. Some try to tell me it's the whole 'gay' thing. I'm like it's not like he is the only gay entertainer out there. I just don't know what makes him a target for so much dislike :( makes me sad sometimes actually because he works so hard and puts his heart into so much. Besides that, if some people (that I know even) would listen to his vocals/lyrics they would find he is way better than some of the acts on the radio, lol. I'm sorry my example would be katy perry. i like her music but she can. not. sing. live! Adam will have his day, I'm sure of that. Just wish every one would see in him, what we do

That's why we're pushing

I understand what you are saying about not being organic, but Adam is not well known in the UK and he has to be heard to become known.I really feel that the song and the album should have been released after the Queen concerts in London,at least more people would know how great a singer Adam is. To me It was like 'putting the cart before the horse' However it is what it is. I try to work with what I have..

You can read any article on the internet about even non-controversial subjects, and the comments will contain hate. It is amazing to me that there are so many people who are hateful and/or unhappy. Or ignorant. I usually don't read comments for that reason. And when I do, I usually regret it! This. I often take a peek out of curiosity and then vow never to read comments again. It's so disheartening. I have to keep reminding myself that the poison inside these people is eating away at them and doesn't have to eat away at me unless I let it.

Logically speaking - the real bizarre part is the obvious catch-22 situation: radio will play if high on the charts, people would buy if they hear it on the radio.. so it seems that getting the song high onto those charts ANY way possible makes sense.... once it is up there - it should roll on its own...

I guess I've always wondered why everyone thinks Shoshana has done such a great job -- cuz she's on twitter? She's always been a tease and, frankly, her tweet yesterday about Glamberts "doing their job" pissed me off. No, Shoshana, do your job and find NEW fans for Adam -- his Glamberts are already on board.
