I have been voting for a while, but the dark forces on the other side must be larger as they are slowly gaining ground. I think it might be important to present the best public response possible to this Idol rumor, and People is a famous publication. If he gets the judgeship, it sure would be a way to thumb his nose at radio for exposure. I *have* been voting on this one, but it's been totally stuck at 55-45 for like forever! >:( |

Hi, shadow and I are just back from the big London party at LaLa just up the street from Hammersmith Apollo. There were about 80 people, mostly Atops, but a few plus ones. Angelina was there, Catz, NoAngel, Hoppers, Smokey, Mayumi, Bama, zinnia and Mia, Gelly and her gorgeous daughter, Mayumi, etc. Q3 and Mr Q3 were there. JustJill and supardu did a great job with the decorating and arranging the food and space. Didilynn and a few others helped. I'm so sorry I started naming because there's not space to name them all. We had everything from pizza to salad to salmon and herb blintzes, great spring roll type things containing spinach and goat cheese, chicken wings, hummas, flat bread, and olives too numerous to mention. There was an open bar. The space was a perfect size, but get a bunch of Atops together and the rapid-fire conversations, ooohhhs + hugs when people located others they wanted to meet, and background music--happy chaos ensued. The furniture was blonde wood with square tables and square-seated wooden chairs. The club space we took over had a bunch of green and pink neon swoops across the wall. We had yellow and black balloons,fresh flowers, wonderful name tags (just jill again), yellow wristbands that said "trespassers only" in black letters. I can personally vouch that little Hoppers is adorable. OMGOMGOMG!!!! ljsmack.... THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!!!! I vote every time I come back to my computer, and then again when I leave. I wouldn't worry too much about it. He's been quite far ahead and now he's still leading, so if someone at People is monitoring this poll, they can see that he has support. Chances are that they aren't even paying attention, though, because they only put up the poll to get hits to their webpage. I'll still vote when I get the chance but I'm not going to be obsessive about it. |

My two cents on hate comments on anything concerning Adam.... This is a quote that I have always loved. I think it originated here but I am not sure…. “How do you imagine someone who is outrageously beautiful without having an outrageously beautiful imagination?” Yes, some of the hate towards Adam is jealousy, some is homophobia, but in my opinion all hate largely stems from fear. Fear of the unknown, the unexplored. Fear of the fantastical and magical, yet sweet and intelligent being that Adam is at his core. There is too much going on for the small minded. They will never get him, and it is such a pity. I feel very sorry for people without the capacity to take it all in. I’ve used the analogy in the past of Adam as a spicy fusion dish…. so many amazing flavours contained in one package are intimidating for those whose palates are not used to such thrilling fare. Then there is the sex! I’m not talking about the ‘gay’ sex either. Just plain, old in your face SEX! It drips off of him. Sex scares a lot of people, and Adam is a walking, talking sex billboard on the side of a very boring highway. There are even the silly little things like the eye make-up, nail polish, gauges and the tattoos. Even some of Adam’s fans have expressed their fear of larger gauges or a sleeve of tattoos. It is fear, plain and simple. It is possible to break through that wall of fear. There will be those that will discover him when they have a tiny crack in that wall, then he will work his way in. That will be all it will take. Unfortunately there will always be the fearful. The closed minded. The non-believers. Fuck ‘em. We’re the lucky ones. So beautifully said. And I couldn't agree with you more. I agree with a lot of the above post. However, this fan/stan doesn't "fear" larger gauges or sleeve tattoos. I just plain don't like 'em - on anyone - ever. Same with black lipstick on Adam and crotch grabbing. Don't fear it - just don't like it. ;D Could be a part of the public feels the same. 8-) |

I just went to vote for video on Much Music and sadly it is gone from choices. Someone besides Q102 needs to cut this song a break!

Yes, butterfly made it, and QueenAi from Austria, and we had a fine Canadian contingent including Stampsgal. I don't have the entire list with me, I apologize. Perhaps some other attendees will fill in the gaps for us.
Mayumi took many photos as did supardu, so some will probably make it on the board soon-ish.
