Hey guys! I know that I'm late as hell. (I have big problems with Internet connection - bad weather) but I will try to write some Wroc³aw concert recap with my broken English It was my first time seeing Adam live and what can I say? It was one of the best first times in my life. He was beautiful, amazing. He was everything all you said he will be and more. There were so many moving moments - like when crowd was singing "Love of my life" or all the hands in the air during "Radio Ga Ga". Crowd was loving him, accepting him. They were doing everything what he wants. I was sitting next to a passionate Queen fan - we were talking a little during concert. I asked him about red jacket - his answer "I know shit about fashion. For me that jacket is ridiculous but I'm sure that Freddie would loved it." and about Adam - "He's much better than I'd expected him to be. Very strong voice, great stage presence. There were long moments when I forgot about Freddie, wasn't thinking about orginal performances, I just let myself enjoy the experience - beloved songs, amazing band, good singer". He said to me that he will listen to Adams music. I was talking with other Queen fans too - old and young (and yup, I made notes to remember what they all said). The girls were mostly smitten - heard a lot of about long legs, great ass, eyes, lips, leather pants and yeah, about that sexy voice too ;D Interesting - a lot of them wants to know whether he is professionally trained singer. Some 60-70 year old man said to me "He is not Freddie (yeah, I know, I know) but he has this style you know, this Queen style". Another "He know his place on stage next to the legends that are May and Taylor. He knows that this is about Queen, not about him. I like that." Some young couples "We were like "WTH is Adam Lambert?", now we are like "Why we have never heard of him before?", "This songs deserved the best singer they can get. It was good choice." Some young woman "He is so cute! The sexiest man I've ever seen." her boyfriend "Hey! I'm standing here!" (a lot of husbands and boyfriends can relate, I think ;D). I seriously heard only good things about Adam, about his voice, his performance. People were very exited and happy to be a part of this event. The only thing I'm sad about is that I didn't meet with girls from Adamtopia . I meet only with Butterfly, but briefly. (Hey beautiful!). I couldn't find them after concert. I hope next time I will be more lucky!

party recap: Hi, shadow and I are just back from the big London party at LaLa just up the street from Hammersmith Apollo. There were about 80 people, mostly Atops, but a few plus ones. Angelina was there, Catz, NoAngel, Hoppers, Smokey, Mayumi,Aloha, needacoke, diet coke, just wishing, Bama, glamtealady, zinnia and Mia, Gelly and her gorgeous daughter, Mayumi, etc. Q3 and Mr Q3 were there. JustJill and supardu did a great job with the decorating and arranging the food and space. Didilynn and a few others helped. I'm so sorry I started naming because there's not space to name them all. (and my memory is fried) We had everything from pizza to salad to salmon and herb blintzes, great spring roll type things containing spinach and goat cheese, chicken wings, hummas, flat bread, and olives too numerous to mention. There was an open bar. The space was a perfect size, but get a bunch of Atops together and the rapid-fire conversations, ooohhhs + hugs when people located others they wanted to meet, and background music--happy chaos ensued. The furniture was blonde wood with square tables and square-seated wooden chairs. The club space we took over had a bunch of green and pink neon swoops across the wall. We had yellow and black balloons, fresh flowers, wonderful name tags (just jill again), yellow wristbands that said "trespassers only" in black letters. I can personally vouch that little Hoppers is adorable, lindag23's sons are tall and handsome, and there was boundless Adam community joy. The only "formal" part of the evening occurred when Q3, NoAngel, Hoppers, Angelina, Mia and Zinnia, catz and vecadam were introduced to raucous applause and cheers. Otherwise we just wished all of Atop could have joined us. I apologize to anyone I slighted by not mentioning them by name. Shadow and I met everyone as we collected money and handed out name tags and wristbands, but much of that was a blur! Thanks for taking the time to post the party recap, sounds so much fun, have a blast tomorrow at the concert!!

Yes, butterfly made it, and QueenAi from Austria, and we had a fine Canadian contingent including Stampsgal. I don't have the entire list with me, I apologize. Perhaps some other attendees will fill in the gaps for us.
Mayumi took many photos as did supardu, so some will probably make it on the board soon-ish. I JUST WANNA HUG YOU ALL... EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU!!!!

A few months ago, I was interested enough in this topic to start researching it -- hate comments and what motivates them. I wrote a blog on ALFC and have posted it just now in "Adam Musings" in case anyone is interested in the topic. www.adamtopia.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=inspired&thread=61&page=3Actually, I found enough interesting stuff for about three blogs, but I never wrote the next two because it was so depressing to think about it. I'm always sorry when I read comments on ANY article, not just ones about Adam. Very good analysis of the situation, juniemoon! I wish everyone on the internet would ask themselves the questions you posed. We're all entitled to our opinions, but anonymity shouldn't make us toss aside our civility.
I've never understood how or why so many people on the internet think it's fun or cool to say horrible things about or to someone else. Being hateful is not cool, and it doesn't make the perpetrators any more powerful, richer, or more good looking than they already are - in fact, it diminishes them.
juniemoon, your article gives some insight into what motivate people to make hate comments and it was interesting reading. But when I see so much hate directed toward Adam, who is so much about love and acceptance and connecting with others, I feel really disappointed in what the human race is up to these days. Even Fred Rogers (Misterogers), who was unfailingly positive in even the worst situations, famously said that the only thing that made him angry was seeing one person demean another.
Misterogers also said, "The best thing you can offer anyone is your honest self." That is exactly the gift Adam gives all of us, every day, even his critics and detractors. And that's one of the things that's most unique about Adam, and that I love in him.
