Cassie, check out Pia, the last singer. Tell me what you think of her power notes at the end.

None of the girls stood out for me, I only remember Thia and Lauren A, just because they sang near the end. LOL. MichaelSlezakTV Michael Slezak 'American Idol' Recap: The Girls Who Played With Fire bit.ly/ChantelleYouStay1 hour ago

I just thought I'd throw it here for anybody interested. lyndseyparker Lyndsey Parker My Idol top 12 girls recap! yhoo.it/gY3d8i #phew #myhandshurt #carpaltunnelsyndrome #whycantigetanassistanttodomytyping 9 hours ago An Adam mention here, Rachel Zevita - Rachel had been my favorite gal up until this point, and honestly, I still think she should be fast-tracked to the finals just because she chose to wear a hooded gothic cape on this show. (Best "Idol" cape since guest performer Katy Perry wore her ADAM LAMBERT one in Season 8!)

I started to watch Idol again... it all started with Adam being on the opening marquee... the ones I find interesting are :
James- i love rock. he stay true to rock. I am for him.
Jacob- I want him to sing Cohen's Hallelujah. That song has been much maligned by Idols past and time to resurrect its true beauty.
Paul- he is like Matthew Morrison of Glee
Casey- he is like my wrinkley rumpled pyjama
Naima- so quaint. But I am afraid she will not get through.
Thia - with all the Disney girls already grown up, they should hire her already
Kendra - she should pick a Streisand song and I think she will be great
Ashton- she should sing When you Tell Me That You love me... she will make America cry...
I hope all of the above make it a few more weeks. I like rock music and James did a good job . I am hoping Ashton gets into the top 12 and pick a really cool song. I think she will be great.
I don't care so much for the opinions of the Entertainment writers. Many of them castigated Adam during Season 8. I always go with whomever I enjoy.
Not one of the above though is as captivating as Adam. Not one inhabits your soul.

The judges seemed so promising in the early rounds. Now they are loving almost everyone. I'm so tired of hearing "I'm a fan of yours" and "that was so beautiful". Hooray for the few actual real-world critiques from Randy. Maybe they decided on roles to play and Randy is playing Simon? Some of the girls have lovely voices but the performances seemed so pageantry to me. Everyone blended together except for: Naima - uptempo version of Summertime. She seems kooky & unique. Like her. Ashton Jones - Bluesy. Liked her too. Lauren - not my cuppa BUT she is the most relevant to Pop & the most likely to have radio success imo. Unless she messes up big time she's a shoo-in for top 3. Pia - powerful voice & beautiful girl. But there have been others like her in past seasons. Others - I like Thia but she brings nothing new. Karen was one of my fav's but was disappointing last night. the first Lauren (dark-hair) - Ugh. Just no. Rachael - performance was a mess The rest I missed or have forgotten. The audience goes BSC for every single performer even if they sucked. ??? :

The 16 year old kid who reminds me of Daisy Duke/Jessica Simpson makes me anxious. I heaved a sigh of relief when our 13 year old said she does not like her . She said she likes Thia because of the way she hugged Ryan. And she likes several of the boys , her best Scotty, Stefano and James . Well , so these kids that do the voting... its not going to be the voice they are considering ... its who looks most entertaining to them... the most glittery....

Oh yes , its looking like Randy went to Judging University and came back with a Doctorate . He is making sense. I was looking forward to Steven Tyler, but he has turned into a Grandpa , spoiling the grand kids with praise. I hope he gets to do something this week end to get back his mojo and spread rock and roll raw honesty all over idol.

Rachel is my favorite so far. I loved her quirky performance and I loved what she did with Criminal, which is one of my all time favorite songs.

I agree with you about the judges, my goodness, it's all praises from Steven Tyler and JLo. Even if they didn't like a performance, they didn't give constructive criticism. Whatever happened to the blunt honesty? Hmm, for the first time this season I kind of miss Simon. :-/

Cassie, check out Pia, the last singer. Tell me what you think of her power notes at the end. Thanks for pointing her out. Very nice performance. I actually liked the more understated first part. I guess I get bored with the huge diva voice belting that seems mandatory for Idol girls. She did it well. Lots of power and still on pitch. For me, the earlier part was just more nuanced and heart felt. She lost a bit of the warmth and richness at the end when she belted. Definitely a very good singer. Would like to see what else she can do. Would like to see something a little different, a little more personal. I think that is coming more from my boredom of the diva style than anything else. I heard nothing to fault her.

It's so I'm dreding the last notes of every song because you know they are just going to rare back and project to the balconies and beyond. The ladies were mainly forgettable and boring. I went back and watched a few performance, uhh two, and just could not go on. I will wait to see the verdict tonight.

Most everyone seems to think she's on pitch even though to me she sounds sharp, but some have mentioned tone. All I can describe it like is that her throat is closed. Maybe that's what you call a lack of richness.

Here are the people I voted for. I cast one text vote each because it is so easy to do.
Guys Jovany ( He was horrible, but I liked his voice) Jacob Scotty Stefano Brett (pity vote) Casey
Girls
Naima Thia Lauren T Pia Haley Karen (only because of the last high notes at the end of song)
