I am here thinking about 'The Announcement' tomorrow..I'd like to put something out. I don't do twitter but some of you have mad skilz here. No matter WHAT happens..wouldn't it be wonderful to trend #ibelieveinAdam after the announcement? We talk here about our commitment to him. Maybe he's been having a tough time and needs our support, not our worries and bitching about Idol on Twitter. I know, cannae tell people what to do. Not trying to. But if I did do Twitter I'd sure try to trend something totally positive. Following up with maybe twits about the exciting vid contest? Or excitement about TP being released as a single. Anything than filling his feed with trash talk. I'd love to see Adam's face when his fandom rallies in support of him unconditionally. Anyway, I won't be around for the announcement. If anyone likes my ideas, please have at it for Adam's sake. If not, disregard. Thanks, all! I love YOU [/IMG]
Please tweeters, keep this in mind and forward!!!

It’s very unusual that Adam didn’t kill the AI rumors if he already knew that he didn’t get the job. Is it possible that AI and Adam’s management team are still trying to finalize the deal? I suppose anything in possible. They have not announced it yet -- and Nigel's tweet made it seem like it was not a done deal. Nigel Lythgoe @dizzyfeet I believe there is an official release tomorrow regarding the #IdolJudges? I do hope so as the auditions begin in the morning. But that could just be Nigel trying to make tomorrow a surprise!! ??? : : *** I have decided to move on. I am sure some fans will hold out hope until the live shows start in February. And I will be pleasantly surprised if they unveil the new judges as Mariah, Keith, Nicki and Adam Lambert. I also would like to win the lottery. *** Even Nick Jonas has not talked about Idol not picking him -- and he is over on X-Factor. Why would Adam be the one to talk?ETA: Love the idea Viv --- it might be better if it was focused Trespassing. Cause right now Adam wants a hit single. JMHO.

Thinking more about the demographics of a judging panel that would include Minaj, Carey and Jackson, in one way it would make sense.
The Voice has completed two seasons. Both seasons were won by African-American males. X-Factor has completed one season, which was won by an Afro-Caribbean female. Maybe Fox/AI producers think they're losing ratings because they're not appealing to the same demographic. Maybe they think throwing Urban on the panel makes their choice less transparent.
Personally, I think declining ratings is the result not so much of over-saturation in the talent singing competition market, or about appealing to a certain demographic, as it is about these shows' formats all having less to do with singing, or even judges, but more to do with who has the best sob story. I don't think a fantastic singer without a real pathetic sob story has much of a chance of making it through audition rounds anymore.
It's all become so boring, predictable and pathetic.

I'm going to include #Trespassing and #TrustABitch in the tweet.

[/IMG] BTW, these little girls are not from Toddlers and Tiaras, they are just dressed in ballerina outfits. They are from the UK and their video went viral when their parents posted a video of them singing Nicki Minaj's Super Bass. Ellen had them on the show after that and NM came on and performed with them. The most painful thing I saw this week was Chris Brown's tattoo. There are worse things than a teenager being a good sport and being sweet to some very young fans. Just sayin...
oops sorry! But I just don't like how some little kids are being trained for the media and then presented for .... well whatever. Kids should be kids, not Barbies IMO
Yeah, I dislike the Toddlers and Tiara Barbie stuff too. These are just two sweet little girls who seem to have good parents. The world fell in love with them because of a simple youtube video that went viral and now they are getting some fun opportunities.

It is very possible that Adam is keeping it all close to the hip becasue he doesn't want cray peeps tweeting Idol and calling them idiots. As Q3 said, he must maintain a good relationship for future appearances. We still don't know and it maybe that Randy isthe 4th judge, but the demographics are unbalanced on this show. Also it coud be that Adam may be mentor ( I know wishfull thinking). Could be Randy does the city judging, moves into mentoring, then Adam comes on board for the live shows. Anything is possible. They had revolving judges at one point. Just rambling here.....I still have hope.

I don't think a fantastic singer without a real pathetic sob story has much of a chance of making it through audition rounds anymore. It's all become so boring, predictable and pathetic. I agree about Idol -- the show peaked in the ratings AI5-AI6 (2006) -- long before The Voice. TV shows has a life and few hit shows stay at the top for more than 2-3 years. But no matter how you cut it -- the days of mass media are almost over in the US -- there are about 300 million TV viewers in the US and a #1 show gets about 10 million to 16 million viewers. Of course there are only about 150 million people in "the demo" that advertisers want -- 18-49 years old. Look the Fast National ratings (apx. 85% of the US) for Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012 -- with The Voice premiere, X-Factor premiere and the AGT final on Wednesday --- NBC averaged 8.9 million viewers, FOX 8.5. The rest of the field was in reruns except for the new "Big Brother," CBS was third at 6.1 million, followed by ABC at 3 million, and CW at 814,000. We often focus on the effect of digital one music, but it has had a massive effect on TV.

My thoughts on the positive Kelly Clarkson posts of late is this - Kelly won AI over 10 years ago and has only really started to stand out in the last few years. The first 6 or 7 were pretty quiet for her as far as radio and media go - Kelly's first album, released April 15th 2003, 7 months after her Idol win and went to #1 on BB200, besting 50cent....her first single Miss Independent spent 6 or 7 weeks at #1 on the Pop charts and hit #9 on the Hot 100. In July 2004 Kelly recorded for Disney the song Breakaway for a Princess Diaries...that song set up her sophomore album for release in December 2004. Breakway is her biggest selling album to date with over 6 million in the U.S. and 13 million world wide. In november 2004 she released Since U Been Gone which was the "call me maybe" of 2005. The song went on to become one of the biggest songs of the year. It was covered by people from all genres. She was all over the radio 2005/2006 as the most played artist across ALL genres. She won both her grammy's in 2006 as well. The thing about Kelly is she's been a consistent hit maker since the onset of her career...It wasn't easy and a lot of people doubted she'd be around this long but she worked her ass off for it and so will Adam. Adam has done incredibly well since leaving Idol so IMO his success doesn't need to be "qualified" by how long he's been off Idol. He and Kelly are the ONLY TWO global stars to come from idol in 11 seasons. Adam has scored platinum/gold all over the world and his success is undeniable IMO. Is he as big in the U.S. as some hoped he would be by now? no, but the beauty of Adam is that he's not just confined to the U.S. like 99.99% of the other idols are so his success in the U.S. isn't nearly as important as theirs' might be. Adam has the benefit of having a global fanbase and because of that he has more opportunities and door opening for him every single day. I don't know if Adam will ever be a massive superstar in the U.S. but I do know that at the end of the day it won't matter because he'll have a career and success for as long as he wants because his audience is so diverse and wide spread. Kelly has being the first Idol and Breakaway/Disney to thank for her breakthrough, IMO. She didn't want the song, Breakaway, on her album but Clive Davis insisted, so he figures in her success as well. Her third album, My December, was not the wild success that Breakaway was. She cancelled that tour and changed managers - got Reba's backing and was off to the races again. She has had lucky breaks but she is also a hard worker. ETA-There are times that contracts for contests and jobs specify that those under consideration not divulge or even speak about the results until the official announcements are made.

I certainly am not trying to tell what people might want to trend..IMO..right now is a delicate time. Seeing 'I Believe' right now might make Adam's day. Who knows? I believe there will be ample opportunities to trend Trespassing but, hey, trend, whatever....Atopers make things happen!! My thanks for anyone considering my idea!! ETA: LOL..never thought of Biebs.. :4OMG:
