The seasons eight and 10 veterans will both release new music Oct. 16. Plus, see new video of Lambert on China's version of "The Voice."
Two American Idol artists are going to go head to head in competition this month, and it won't be on a stage.
Adam Lambert and Scotty McCreery will both release music on the same day -- Oct. 16.
Lambert announced on Twitter that he is ready to release a special Trespassing EP with radio edit and remixes from the album on that day. The season eight runner-up just appeared on China's version of The Voice, where he performed his new single, "Trespassing." Lambert also announced that "Trespassing" will ship to radio Oct. 8.
McCreery will kick off the holiday season two months early, as the season 10 winner will release his album Christmas With Scotty McCreery the same Tuesday. The North Carolina native, who is the subject of his own exhibit at the North Carolina Museum of History in Raleigh running through Jan.4, announced on his website that the album will feature his holiday favorites, including "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town," "Holly Jolly Christmas" and "The First Noel."

Nothing against Scotty, he seems to fit the mold of old-time country crooner quite well. Different strokes and all.
