Actually, all that was edited very well and Adam came off the better for it, for sure. Russell had his moments, but he also "demanded" (in the attention sense) a bit more focus. He wandered around during commercial breaks, interjected and occasionally interrupted. Overall he was great and very funny but did start getting quite distracting (or he was getting distracted) which is why they let him go when they needed to go back for additional edits and pickups. Adam and Kristen stayed and shot pickups for at least 30 more minutes after Russell left. I sure hope we don't have to start censoring our fantasies in this fandom. We all know who Adam is and wish nothing but happiness for him and Sauli. Does that mean we can't dream. We all have unrealistic dreams of being with someone we never will be. For her remark to be so scrutinized makes my blood boil.! Everyone is entitled to their fantasies and as Adam has said many times, nurturing them is part of his job!! Just as it is part of Brad Pitt's job to transport his audience to a dream place where they might be living in turn-of-the-century Wyoming on a sprawling ranch, it is part of Adam's job to turn loose all of your hangups and troubles and cut loose and dance. Brad Pitt can still be his own self in his real life and the millions in his viewing audience know very well they will never compete with Angelina Jolie and they also know Brad doesn't live in the past or future and he isn't aging backward. Entertainment is escapism. Maybe our fantasies about Adam are nothing other than getting sat next to him on a plane where we get a chance to have a long, uninterrupted, philosophical discussion of life, love and the human condition. Or maybe we're all elves and the fantasy takes place in Mordor – who cares? So long as people keep it in perspective and respect his real life and his personal boundaries, it's totally their own business what they dream in their own mind. |

People who were there have clarified that the comment was actually in response to Adam saying there are women who continue to hit on him and the fan chalked it up to "perpetural hope" which certainly changes the meaning of what she said and her intention behind saying it. And for the record, not all of us have sexual/romantic fantasies about Adam (or any celebrity). |
