I grew up with the pop music of the time, and listening to Michael Jackson was obviously what everyone growing up did, I mean, he’s been so iconic. I remember listening to Beat It when I was a kid and dancing in my living room with a flashlight. I thought that was my microphone, and my strobe light, at the same time, and I remember stealing my mother’s shoulder-pads and putting them in my jacket. Michel Jackson was kind of the shit. He was the reason I wanted to be a pop star. I wanted to be Michael Jackson. I think of a lot of kids felt that way. He was just so cool. See, we have to quit being just TALKERS and do something with our ideas. And I still haven't forgotten about the Europian Glam Bus for next tour. What's that??!! After GNT Europe and a few "minor' problems like snow storms, etc, someone came up with the idea that next tour we should charter a bus and go to a few (insert whatever number you like) of the concerts, you know, like Belfast, Glasgow, London, Manchester, Paris, etc, etc. I can't remember who suggested it and I'm assuming it was tongue in cheek, but sounds like a plan to me!!!! |

Still having fun watching Adam numbers go up on weibo. Increased over 5 T in less than 24 hours. Not as fast as right after the Voice China aired, but hopefully will continue steady increase  |

Hmm I was a little surprised at Nile's lack of effusiveness over Adam the person, his voice, or song, when it seemed the opposite in his blog and tweets from that time, although he was quite complimentary about Sam Sparro. He talks about his lifelong bond he feels he's got with Adam. How is that a lack of effusiveness? I addressed this earlier in a reply to someone else's post, but since your question is directed to me.. It seemed to me that there was a lack of effusiveness in contrast to how effusive he was at that time of the collaboration in his blog and tweets.. that's all. And that's not to downplay that he said he feels a lifelong bond with Adam.. |

I've certainly grown up since then, so I always think I'm over all of that. But then I listen to people like Adam talking to people like Whitney and a part of my soul I didn't know was still hurting suddenly heals, and I feel more whole. It makes me choke up, it brings tears to my eyes. A very rare and special gift indeed. ETA: Typo. Makes me choke up and I was pretty well accepted as a kid. |
