Dyg, what do you think? What do you usually do from home? Will the radio stations play Trespassing if we request it? It's been YEARS since I requested a song on the radio... ??? From what you have said about Spain, it sounds like they might not have Trespassing. That's why I suggested calling and asking for anything by Adam Lambert. I checked all the top40 blogs. The only Adam songs I saw there were Whataya Want From Me (of course) and For Your Entertainment. There's no place to make a request there. It's been years since I requested a song on the radio, I'm kind of clueless... That's why I asked Dyg. :-/

I tweeted messages to OUT and The Advocate magazines to help support Adam's trespassing on radio. It's time IMHO for the LGBT community to help. There has to be a major ground swell, for that, there is a need for more folks calling and writing to the stations. Who else can we enlist to start this???? Not to be a Negative Neil, but I don't see the opinion/support of gay magazines pushing any single to radio play. It's not like you hear Cazwell and Scissor Sisters on Top40/HAC. Their opinions aren't exactly high on the PD's watch list. And just a sticking point, there ARE plenty of us gays who support Adam (and other glbt artists), but we aren't a cure all. We aren't some sort of magic wand that one waves and fixes the ills of radio like some bad Queer Eye episode. We don't make up enough of the population to make that kind of push, certainly not enough to change the mind's of PD's if they don't want to play someone. About the only area you are likely to see affected is Dance charts, and that's just because they are small enough that a dedicated effort can be noticed. You want change on the Top40/HAC? Sorry, but the burden of that is on straight shoulders, just due to shear numbers. They are the ones who make up the majority of the audience, theirs is the opinion that PD's re going to be looking at. Believe me, the music landscape would be far different if gay opinions matter that much. Whether that would be a good thing or not, well . . . :

I am not much of a radio listener, but last era, I requested in the stations in my area, but no luck. I will try harder this time around. I think we should start a twitter campaign. I will gift the single as soon as it is available on iTunes Spain to my friends. Many of them won´t even listen :-( but they will download because of my begging. How do you request songs? Phone calls? Which radio stations did you try?

WHEn an new single comesout by the radio's favoriate artists ( I say that w a smirk), ie Bruno's new single, Kesha's new single which already has an AI of 33 M!!!) these new single get played every hr on the hr, is this the artist's management's promo or just the radio playing it on their own? I just wonder how much promo from RCA TP has for this single. Will there be a VID for TP? since the other two had little support For artists like Kesha -- 6 singles all Platinum or better, all BB Hot 100 top 10, 2 lead single both #1 -- the new lead single is almost certain to be added. It will only be a BB top 10 song if fans buy it. The Bruno song is getting very good fan response -- got a 74% Pump It on Toronto's Pump It, Dump it last night -- highest for the past several songs. He also has a great recent track record. Adam is not in the same situation -- ETA meaning he does not have a couple #1 hits.

That's why I think at some point with all the talent out there, The LGBT community will have to go the Motown route. There was a time that radio wouldn't play an african american singer.. Motown crossed over. I sure didn't mean to insult you in any manner.. just looking to get as many people to push for Adam's music as possible. If I insulted you you have my apology. :-[ and just so you know I really believe that you're way more important to the music business than you believe... example.. Bet Midler,Madonna, Lady Gaga.. where would they be without the gay community??If I'm wrong you have my sorry again.
