I thought he was adorable in PLL. Are people really going to pick on his acting in a 20 second scene? have you just stumbled into this fandom? of course they are :

I don't get it either. What because he asked if she was there alone? or because he asked if she'd be down front? You can be flirty and not be sexually attracted to someone...I flirt with everyone...male, female, animal, vegatable, mineral LOL... I'm just a naturally flirty person and I suspect Adam is too. Yeah, to me it just felt like Adam being Adam. He just comes across as a really sweet person. Yeah, I agree but you know everything has to be analyzed til all the fun is sucked out of it.

My thought, too. He asked the girl her name. Gay people don't ever ask people their names? Nope! We always keep a straight friend nearby and trust them to find out someone's name if we need it. In exchange we give them fashion advice. :4OMG:

I find it hard to believe that we are rehashing the good old "should Adam play a straight role" discussion , the very one that has been beaten to death more than once... Adam's acting in those 20 secs was better than I expected his PROFILE !!!! also, looks like they might have the full songs.... I can't even imagine how much fun it was for Adam to be part of this huge DRESS UP party! He got to be his fav character, his band got dressed up AND he got to perform TWO OF HIS OWN SONGS!!!! I AM SO VERY HAPPY FOR HIM!!! And now he is on his way to NZ and OZ where he will feel the fan love! so, lets keep requesting and lets keep enjoying the gift that is Adam!

Am I on candid camera rn?
Are you going to jump out on me and say: Bwuahhaha, gotcha, he was GREAT?
Because he totally was. A polite, cordial, party-host vampire. It's a vampire with a twist. A new interpretation of an overused character. Brilliant. Like a grouchy Teddybear, whoever saw a grouchy teddybear? It's a Teddy with a twist. The contradiction is a source of comic.
Not to mention that CUCKOO IS GOING TO BE A SMASH HIT CAUSE IT SOUNDED FABULOUS!!!!!

Ha, ha. When you all were talking about AL playing the straight guy, I thought you meant it as the comedic term of the guy that "plays it straight" (i.e., stays serious/straight-faced) against the person playing for laughs. But I do agree that there was a bit of flirtiness in the "I hope I see YOU at the front." Whether straight or not, I still dont think he pulled it off that well. But not a big deal. He's a much better actor on stage and in interviews. Plus Cuckoo looks awesome. Some people can't get passed their persona to act naturally (case in point, Madonna, although I here Britney's pretty good. I bet Gaga would have trouble.) ETA: I didn't say it was bad, just ok. Not a whole lot to work with there. I just think it would have been much better without the last little heh-heh. Don't mean to harsh anyone's fun. Analyzing the crap out of everything, good, bad, or so-so, *is* fun for me. Sometimes I forgot it isn't for everyone. Still excited about the appearance! Finally something I can watch with my daughter with AL without her complaining about it!

Maybe he played it exactly as his director wanted him to... :
