IMO the only issue with the clip of PLL we have is in the script. If you remove the line "this is absolutely fun" (which is awkward wording that nobody would say) then the whole scene is much more comfortable. Also, if you don't judge this by how you think Adam would sound approaching a girl in a bar then it is much more believable. Maybe it's only the fans that are familiar with his every little mannerism that will nit pick this. And I assume he was directed to act this way.
Eta. I loved it! Thrilled to see Adam's other skills.

I get the impression that Adam lambert plays himself in PLL. My interpretation is he sees what might be lonely girl and he is being friendly! Come to the front and have a good time at my show. A warm invitation to a potential glambert, not a come on. Aria seems a bit taken aback that the celeb stops by and chats with her. I honestly see Adam doing something like this in real life. It was a lovely scene.

My thought, too. He asked the girl her name. Gay people don't ever ask people their names? Nope! We always keep a straight friend nearby and trust them to find out someone's name if we need it. In exchange we give them fashion advice. The.best.answer!!!

Boy! I hope a sex tape never shows up!! Lol, Stardust! You would be safe there from my overanalysis. I never watch the things; never even Tommy Lee and Pam Anderson back in the day--no Paris Hilton, no Kardashian, not even crotch shots out of limos during that craze. Not a prude but I never understood the appeal. And "leaking" them for publicity mystifies me. I DID watch the play-by-play of the three older women watching the Kardashian one, which was hysterical!

Seems to me like Adam was told NOT to do a sexy come on, whether straight gay or whatever. This is on the family channel. Nothing predatory about that exchange. ;D So if he's supposed to be interested in her, that was some Emmy level acting. Because I don't think that's how Adam "hits" on people. ;D JS

Any time you pay attention to acting, it seems less genuine simply because you're hyper-aware that it's only acting. Usually when you watch a show, you're viewing the characters as people in a real-life situation and you're thinking only of what's happening to them in the scene. You only notice bad acting if it's really bad. But if you take any 20-second scene in any TV show or movie and you're looking to analyze and judge the quality of the acting, it tends not to come across as natural.
