But, I thought Shoshanna has said repeatedly it is not released there yet? :-/ NVM, Shosh was speaking about the single being sent to radio. I thought it's the same thing?! If it was released, why wasn't it sent to radio? The promo strategy changes depending on the market, artist and track. Singles have multiple release dates -- simplified view -- on sale date and radio release date: > Released for sale: When they are sold -- in the digital world, even with a released album track, there still can be a separate single release date after the album release. Increasingly, an album track is remixed or reproduced for a post album release single. For Trespassing, they created a new remix version for the single and the EP. In some markets there is also a CD single release date. This is the on sale date for retail stores. (Rare in North America.) > Radio release date: When a single is serviced to radio (digital file sent to radio) and when the label/indie artist wants radio stations to start spinning the track.

[/IMG]
I know! Usually he's such a great team player, but this is the second time lately that he's put the blame on the label. Makes me believe he's angry!

Thanks Q3! I thought in the UK, radio comes first, and spins and everything builds up, till it peaks when it's out for sale, and the first week of sales is all that matters. I'm sure I got it all messed up ;D.

RCA can call it quits any time they choose to,Adam can't.Katy Perry and others were able to change labels..

Well I'm guessing ,but it has to do with RCA taking Adam on after Idol.. Q3 would be able to explain it better than I can. I think Adam has to make a certain amount of albums,etc.etc.Of course IMHO Adam is better with a big Record company like RCA than without them..Just saying

I haven't seen any AI artist who has benefitted from leaving the label. Most have been dropped by RCA - not by their choice, even tho they all say that they have just decided to part ways - a nice way of not saying they were dropped on their butts. You can count on one hand the number of Idols who are still with their original label. And all who have separated have had mediocre, if any, success since then. Having the backing of a major label, even tho they don't do the job we and the artist think they should, is much better than no label at all, or a small, weak one. Katie Perry and others, not AI, are a different story, IMO.

YW and it's okay, katycake! -- Glamour Magazine UK @glamourmagukYikes! @adamlambert is frightening in his Halloween costume. Check it out: bit.ly/RoZIzm Adam LambertWe’re not sure exactly what Adam Lambert is supposed to be here but he definitely looks scary! The singer donned a white wig and top hat for Fred and Jasons Halloween party.
