Britney's new song and video. It might look really familiar :-/, same director as FYE. Leo is in it, looking very hot! Admittedly never a fan of Britney--style over substance imo--but at least she could put on a show and move. Here it just seems like she is going through the motions. She looks dead in the eyes...vacant. And ALOT of quick cuts to see that she isn't really even doing any choreo routines, just a few steps here and there that anyone can do while the backround dancers are the ones who are really working for it. Most of the time it's just looking like someone is behind her giving her the heimlich. It's a great metaphor for what the music industry has become. Highly stylized crap forced down our throats so much that we are choking on it. LOL. It seems like she is heavily medicated..

Greetings -- can someone direct me to the Amazon link that benefits Atop? Thanks in advance! mirages, I am not sure about Amazon, but if you scroll all the way to the bottom of this page, you'll see links to "Universe CD" and "iTunes" that's supposed to benefit the board. Somebody else might know?

I've re-written this post several times, trying to avoid inappropriate speculation and basic butting in to not-my-business stuff, and yet find a way to suggest that the differences we are seeing may not be about BS not being in shape or whatever other guesses people are making. Depending on diagnosis and medication (yes I know I'm making assumptions), we may be looking at side effects. ETA: And I spent so long thinking about what to say, that I was late to the conversation.

: I know what it is .. I'm just at a loss for an explanation on why all the mediocrity. I really can't see hoards of Nick's teenage fans running to see Le Miz.I guess I owe Nick an apology .. he is past the couch stage!! : OUR Adam would never stoop to that at the thought My daughter (15) is a huge Nick Jonas fan. They had video watch parties during Le Miz and even a few showings in theaters. He drew a large crowd and got a new generation interested in theater. He is a good kid lending his name to charity (Diabetes) has more talent than Kesha, Britney or Miley. There is a lot of cross over between Jonas Brother fans and young Adam fans (look at the names on video comments). WOW who knew .. I stand corrected. Glad to hear that the kids are enjoying great music,i.e. Le Miz.. and they love Adam to boot. Happy News.. thanks for sharing. I think you just gave me some hope

: Umm.....you *do* know what the "casting couch" is, right? ;D I think Nick is a bit past that....unless HE wanted the part so much he was willing to enjoy some time with the casting director! I know what it is .. I'm just at a loss for an explanation on why all the mediocrity. I really can't see hoards of Nick's teenage fans running to see Le Miz.I guess I owe Nick an apology .. he is past the couch stage!! : OUR Adam would never stoop to that at the thought It pains me deeply to say anything that could be taken as a defense of a Jonas Bros. (really, really it does) But feel that, in all fairness, someone should point out that Nick Jonas started out as a kid working Broadway and played the role of Gavroche for sometime. Apparently, he'd wanted to play Marius for a long time. Anyway, I saw him in the West End production and thought he wasn't bad at all. (My expectations may have been little low.) Certainly not the powerhouse that the famous Marius' are but not an outrage to the senses, IMO. (Some outstanding performers did not sound great in the 25th anniv special. But it was touching event for those who've seen a lot of the casts come and go.) In MY defense, Lez Miz is the most notable exception in my general loathing for modern musical theater. When I was a young one in London (working), running around to see amazing bands, I also secretly had my fav box seat at The Palace theater to see LM about once a month. (it was relatively cheap and almost always available during week as it theoretically had an obstructed view. Pfft.)
