TBH I was not a fan of ROF until close to the end of the competition . It took me quite awhile to "get it". Each week you could buy the performances on itunes and it was not until the last couple of weeks that I bought ROF (I have them all ). I guess my midwest, conservative side took over that week so my reaction was WTF!

So I'm down the rabbit hole watching the Idol youtube posted above. I do not do this. Do not revisit Idol. I left that show how many years ago now? But I clicked on the link. Got to the results show where Adam advanced past Norman. That was the performance that reeled me in, hook, line and sinker. I Can't Get No Satisfaction. Not the original performance but the results show performance. I actually voted for KA before that because I thought he might not go through and I thought his MJ performance warranted his advancing. Adam, I assumed would make it through without question. I have flogged myself unmercifully for casting a single vote for NAL. Speaking of voting, MyS*&@^#r, I was voting like crazy the last morning of the Popdust poll and patting myself on the back for being up so early (7 a.m.) fighting the fight. Then you posted. Two hours behind me, 5 a.m., you posted a call to arms. I applaud you and would have that morning but didn't want to take a second away from clicking and refreshing. But today (tonight) I recognize your effort and offer my applause.
Edited to add: Tell me I can't and I'll show you I can. Sound like someone?

LOL, if that was a comment to my post earlier where I said Cuckoo and Naked Love... were 'top pop hits'... I meant radio... I still perk up every time I hear Chokehold, Runnin' or Shady starting and making me move - Trespassing too, but it might be because it is the start of it all. But for my personal top three is getting crowded cause Pop That Lock has climbed up there For some reason I always forget Chokehold exists but when I remember it it's one of my faves. Is it just me?? It's like NSYNC meets Nine Inch Nails, best combination ever

I was addicted to Adam from the moment I saw him (audition) and never cast a vote for another before or since. Thats how much he took over my world.I remember during two of the weeks during that season I took a road trip across the country from Madison to Colorado down to Vegas then the Grand Canyon and home again, about a 4000 mile trip. The two nights Idol was on I had to get to the hotel in time to see the show. No computer then and I wasn't going to miss him. Nothings changed!!!!!!!!!For me it almost didn't matter what he sang, I was invested in him!

Awww all these Idol memories are just great! I love hearing how & when everyone jumped on the Adam Train. I was hooked the first moment he appeared. There was just something about him that grabbed my attention & I said "he'll never make it - he's way too good for this show". Boy am I glad I was wrong! As for ROF, I absolutely LOVED it! I think he just knocked it outta the park on that one & it went way over everyone's head! I think I'll pull out my S8 AI DVDs & watch the whole season all over again just to relive the memories.... Really happy to see that Burrito has started another countdown! YAY!
