I know everyone is calling her out on the song but no one is calling her out on the press avoidance. I google today to see if I could find any interview or statement she has made since the release and I didn't find any. If anyone has seen one I'd really love to see it. For me if she stands behind her song she should be owning it and the press opportunities surrounding the Grammys gave her plenty of opportunity to address things and she hasn't taken it that I have seen. I'd be more than happy to be wrong though. Whatever one's opinion of Adam's AMA performance no one can say he didn't stand behind his performance. Same goes for the album cover. Every shitstorm that's happened he has faced head on. To where even those who don't care for him give him props for owning it. |

Just saw that Fashion Police segment on E. Loved everyone BUT Joan Rivers. She is appalling. Her humor is so 70s, offensive, dated and driven by stereotypes. All she did was make comments likening Adam to women! Why the fuck doesn't anyone call her on it? She is disgusting.
Thank goodness the others were so complimentary...
Joan Rivers-- her time has come and gone.

Wow, that was a damn good interview with Perez!!!! Say what you want about him, Perez made Adam totally comfortable, and that was about as relaxed an interview as I've seen. LOOOOOOVE the album talk! Starting to work with big-name producers next week! Already been writing with friends! Doesn't sound like he's planning any more time off, either. Though I must admit, now I kinda really wanna see Adam in feathers...  I agree, this was a good interview, lots of insight into what he was thinking and where he will go with the next one. However, I think his body language was really funny. He looked to me like he couldn't cram himself back into the corner of that couch any farther! (which is understandable, because I personally find Perez kind of creepy) |

Just listened to the Perez interview. I was interested in his thought that maybe the OTT glam was his response to the pressure he felt coming off Idol. The need to be "conceptual". The heavy make-up as a way to make a statement- I forget his exact words. I think he said he was overcompensating. He is always so positive and enthusiastic it's easy to forget that he knew exactly how much he had riding on the first album.

Not trying to be Gaga's defender, but in terms of press, she was on 60 Minutes last night before the Grammys. Not talking about her performance, but about her work and fame in general.
And isn't she supposed to be on Leno tonight? Anyway, I found nothing earth-shattering about her actual performance last night. For me, the song is a'ight, and the performance was quite good, but nothing really to talk about the next day. Did an informal poll of my colleagues, and they mostly liked it, but no one raved.
The Red Carpet egg roll was just part of the "performance art" she says she lives. I don't feel like she needs to apologize or explain anything. JMHO.

OMG, WOW, HOT TAMALE!!! Really good rendition of Fever and the guy sang it really well too. Wonder if anyone has sent the link to Adam, sure he would find it very hot himself:-) |
