When I hear Josh Groban I think PBS performer. I just read he come to notice when he stood in for Andre Bochelli at the 99 Grammys dress rehearsal singing with Celine Dion. Rosie O'Donnell was the host and became a fan and had him on her show. Then the Ally McBeal gigs. I agree with others here, all very safe, generic to me, older folk music.
Adam is such an enigma. Here in the states he has lots of "older" fans and (I think) people who can recognize vocal talent. He wants to be a "pop star" which I associate with younger fans (even though plenty of young at heart people enjoy too).
It will be interesting to see the next direction era three takes. I wonder if he might resign himself and just go after that "adult contemporary" audience. I often wonder if his age works against him too, along with other factors we have analyzed.
As long as he keeps making music I will be happy. I hope to see him LIVE a few more times!

How wonderful it is to be a fan of Adam and be both aurally and visually stimulated. As for Adam's age working against him, didn't Goyte just break through on pop and he's older than Adam? And aren't there many pop stars like Pitbull, David Guetta, Enrique Iglesias, Adam Levine, Pat Monahan, Usher, Black Eyed Peas, etc. who are older than Adam?

I love Josh Groban - he has an beautiful voice. He is adorable and he has a witty funny sense of humor. He puts on a great concert - I have seen his PBS specials and really enjoyed them. I don't think one must choose between Josh and Adam. They are both amazing performers in their own right, both genuinely good men, both have incredible voices and both deserve great success.

Skyfall was a disapointment as a Bond song. Compared to Shirley Bassey and Goldfinger, its underwhelming.

I think Josh Groban is talented and cute--but doesn't he kind of look like ALF?
