Now that Trespaasing has been out over a year and has played in many countries as well as here,just not radio much,I would love to know some new figures. In my mind he must have sold about 400,000 albums world wide.. He had over 310,000 months ago..How can we find out? It's so hard to get information .... It looks to me like he probably covered his costs for making Trespassing.. Right? I wonder what kind of of budget Adam has for album3.Is he really working hard on new album?It just seemed like Adam said we have to get our new music right away to we have time... Hmmmm. Wow in one day I went from wanting to know little to wanting to check Adam's bank account.. LOL color me bi-curious and mecurial. HOw do I find ITunes Gay Pride page,I've tried everything. There is no way to find out global sales of Trespassing unless RCA/Sony releases it. >> Where is the 310K from? Trespassing was at 173,639 in the US at the end of 2012 (Billboard/Nielsen Soundscan). I do not recall seeing any official number for global sales or any sales number for any other country. Even if we know how many units are sold, no one who does not work for RCA or Adam will have any idea what the Trespassing financials look like except to say it is very likely that the album has not generated enough royalties yet to cover Adam's advance. And my GUESS is that Trespassing did not have enough sales to cover RCA's investment either. The label takes the financial risk, not the artist. Label accounting is so complex and there are so many cost allocations that often the definition of "covering costs" is hard to determine. All I care about is that Adam has the go ahead for A3 with RCA. And that he is with a label that supports and believes in him. |

I need some help --- I am working with Proboards to eliminate the remaining server errors. (Most have been resolved! ) 1. If you get a Angry Bear, please PM me the time and date, what you did when it happened what browser you are using (Firefox, IE, Chrome, Safari, etc.) and what device (PC, tablet, phone. For example, if you hit refresh on your browser and the bear arrived, you just need to send me "hit browser refresh". 2. If you get an error, like a post you created gets "eaten", please send me the error message. 3. I have a screen cap of the missing avatars and mini profile info so I do not need this. As far as I can determine RCA has never released any sales data on Trespassing. Instead they have highlighted the album's #1 US debut. |
