There is no way to find out global sales of Trespassing unless RCA/Sony releases it. >> Where is the 310K from? Trespassing was at 173,639 in the US at the end of 2012 (Billboard/Nielsen Soundscan). I do not recall seeing any official number for global sales or any sales number for any other country. Even if we know how many units are sold, no one who does not work for RCA or Adam will have any idea what the Trespassing financials look like except to say it is very likely that the album has not generated enough royalties yet to cover Adam's advance. And my GUESS is that Trespassing did not have enough sales to cover RCA's investment either. The label takes the financial risk, not the artist. Label accounting is so complex and there are so many cost allocations that often the definition of "covering costs" is hard to determine. All I care about is that Adam has the go ahead for A3 with RCA. And that he is with a label that supports and believes in him. Does this mean that you can guess how much Adam's advance was and how much RCA invested in Trespassing? Is it the same for every artist who is with RCA, is it common knowledge? You don't have to tell me if it's something confidential, but I would like to know how many copies of an album have to be sold in order for RCA to cover their expenses. And yes, the A3 go ahead is a beautiful thing:))) I believe that you know what you're talking about, it's just that I find it hard to believe they would support A3 at all if they lost money with Trespassing.I hate money:(((
I do too, Aleks. RCA has not hesitated on dropping artists that do not make them money. Plus, I could have sworn, Q3, that you said a while back that you were sure Trespassing was "in the black."  Oh, and the worldwide number came from a site that does a very good job of estimating from info they have. It wasn't a guess by the "numbers people" here. |

They're doing a "pride week" om MTV and decided Divas fits right in  . Re-run tomorrow at 11pm. Today was the Tel-Aviv pride parade ( melliemom posted an article about that). YAY that's great , good for you !! I saw it on MTV Arabia on new year's eve , and then I watched the re-run the day after it . AND I saw Adam PLL episode on MBC4 , too . TWICE !! It's really ridiculous how excited I get over something Adam related that's on TV . I mean , I've already watched it online , but when I see it on TV it's like the first time , lol . It just ended  ... You're right, it's different on TV than it is on your computer.    |

Bringing this over from yesterday's thread because it was the last post & I wanted to comment:
I completely disagree that there is no joy in his eyes and no happiness. To me he seems to be having a helleva good time with old and new friends. If you were overly invested it's very easy to project your own feelings onto Adam. I understand that. I'm invested in Adam and only Adam so it's easy for me to move with him into whatever his future brings. That relationship been over for almost 5 months after all.

I'll tell you , if he ISN'T working on a new album , and if there wil NOT be a third album , I'll go and throw myself off a cliff . BUT that will never happen happen , because he IS working on a new album and A3 is on it's way . He still has a record deal with RCA and Shoshanna once tweeted that he will work on his third album . So , yeah , we're sure he's working on a new album , girl !! Don't worry, BB  |
