OT The Voice was won by a very talented young singer -- 16 year old Danielle Bradbury. She will be a star and Idol will have to revise their PR copy. She is country, not country-pop, somewhat similar to a very young Carrie Underwood. If you do not like country music, you will probably not be a fan. tx, Q3. IMO other genre singers have no chance in any competition based on public voting....the runner ups seem to be the real winners.... In this case the right singer won IMHO. Setting that aside, there are fewer country winners on singing competitions than I thought. Idol is 2 of 12 Last winner R&B The Voice is 2 of 4 Last winner CountryX Factor US is 1 of 2 Last winner CountryAGT is 1 of 5 (excluding the 2 non-singing winners) Last winner dog act.That is 6 country singers out of 23. Not exactly dominating. |
