I've been locked in a room with 50 other people for 8 hours a day reading on the computer for the last two days (three days still to go). Thank goodness I've streched out most of the carpal tunnell I was feeling a few weeks ago. I'm a bit stir crazy. No snacking except for those provided and gum chewing as my main form of exercise. I'll try and remember to weigh in the morning. At home I'm using ramekin bowls to eat from quite often. I can't put much in there so it seems to self limit me a bit. My feet have been getting plantar facitus and I ordered some shoe inserts from Amazon. They didn't fit very well into any of my shoes and I was about to send them back until I tried my slippers which is what I wear if I'm home. Wow! Big difference in just two days so it looks like they are a new fixture in my routine. Off I go to the living room to do my knee/hip strength training. Tada!
Last check in of 2014. To summarize my year on Jan 1, 2014 I weighed in at 136.6 lbs and my goal weight was in the neighborhood of 123 lbs. The closest I came to that during the year was around 126 or so. I still have a little way to go. But I learned a lot this year about maintaining. My exercise was sketchy this year to say the least and although I kept with trying to eat healthy for the most part I didn't really focus all that much on cutting calories. I more or less ate what I wanted but I did keep up with recording everything and weighing daily. Having the fitbit recording my activity helped a lot because it was really easy to see that if I went too many days in a row going over what I was burning the weight would start to creep up, but as soon as I dropped just a little below it would go back down. I am confident now that I can keep my weight close to where I want it without a huge amount of effort.
My final weight on the last day of this year is 129 lbs. A loss of 7.6 lbs. But this was a bit of a yo-yo year. The lowest I hit was 126.4 in May and I was back up to 135.6 the weekend before Thanksgiving so I am pretty happy being back down under the 130 mark for the end of the year.
My goal for this year is keep going in the right direction toward my goal weight and to work on exercising. Want to try to get back in to doing Pilates.
