The "official " video of this song is still my favorite because of all the shots of both Roger and Brian as well as Adam. Also, even though they never show Neil, his base line is dominant and awesome. Truthfully, of course, Adam's little slide move in the third verse is the real reason I repeatedly watch this video. He had pretty much eliminated it by the end of the North American tour. Queued up here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcwXexDIxqE#t=128Everybody but me likely had already figured this out, but about midway through the tour it dawned on me that the lyric, "playing on my slide trombone" probably had an alternate, not literal, meaning and so I smiled in Toronto when I saw my thought put into action. www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSLcXj32NqE#t=77Oh wait, were supposed to be discussing vocals ? ? ? ? ? :D

The original intent was to discuss vocals, but I think it is more interesting to discuss the song/performance in general. Especially that slide trombones!
Carry on as you were.

I actually wasn't a fan of the official vid. The bass mix is WAAAAAAYYY to heavy...AND it was very early in the tour where the pacing was honestly glacial. It was SO slow. Play the Queen one from above and then move to the QAL official vid to see what I mean.
I was very glad to see as the tour went on that the band warmed up and this got more where it was supposed to be....so my favorites of QAL were definitely later on in the tour. MSG was very nice I thought.
