The Vikings are Norway, but Finland is within the Arctic Circle and one of the places from which the Northern Lights-aurora borealis- can be seen, so the prophesy, or wish, has come true even if Sauli is not officially a Viking. Aspen, I was gonna say the same thing--paired with the fact that Sauli worked on the Viking cruise lines, it's pretty damn close. But then the following occurred to me: Sauli may not be a viking for realzz, but Adam is! He's part Norwegian, right? Through Eber. And you can sure tell it by looking at them both. Now imagine Adam with his natural coloring for a minute (I know, I love the black, too)--replace the football jersey with, I dunno, fur, or something, or even better, nothing at all: Tall, broad-shouldered, flowing blond locks, piercing blue eyes (okay, I'm getting carried away, but you get the picture): Bad-ass VIKING. Plus, he totally came in on a ship--first time Adam visited Helsinki was on the Holland American line. So maybe Adam didn't quite find his viking, but Sauli sure as hell did. :D

I actually have a question for you. Now that Adam is making his new album, which kind of music would you like it to contain: more of the rock/pop style or slower, melodical songs? I personally like both, but I think the slower ones do more justice to his incredible voice. When I bought FYE, I listened to it for the first time at work the next day after I had purchased it, and I have to tell you this: I'm glad none of my colleagues were around at the moment. When Soaked started, I got goosebumps all over, I almost started tremblind and tears were about to fall down my face - it was (and still is) such an incredible song! And his voice... wow! So that's why I would like to hear more slower, melodical songs by him - not that the faster ones are bad, by all means! What do you think! -Mia- I feel exactly the same as you do--I like both kinds of songs, but have a weakness for the slow ones because they show off his voice. I prefer the live, acoustic "Soaked" to the album version, though. My one complaint about FYE (although I do love it) is that there are too many instruments competing with his voice. When the voice sounds like his, I want it to be front-and-center with the background music in the background. Adam has specifically addressed this issue in interviews about Adam#2, and promised it would be more about the vocals, so I'm thrilled!

Hi everybody! Thanks for the many welcome greetings - made me feel so happy and welcomed About the Vikings: yes, they are definitely part of Norwegian history, not Finnish. So no real connection there with Adam and Sauli, except for the cruise ship coincidende - which is quite funny, actually! I actually have a question for you. I love almost all his songs and a different one is my favorite every day depending on my mood. Just want to mention to you about the Glamnation Live CD. His voice is more "up front" on this and if you haven't heard it, listen here: ak.adamofficial.com/Soaked is great here too, and Sleepwalker- well... that may be my favorite on the cd. As many here have said, the dvd is great, but the cd is worth the price of the set alone!

He wants to focus on the voice so I am hoping he gets a lot of input with the producers. I think we will get more songs like the acoustic Aftermath and WWFM. BUT, Adam wants to be a Pop star so there will definitely be several radio friendly songs. I am hoping for 4 Top 20 songs in the US this time. I think FYE had that many, RCA just chose not to release more singles here. But that's a whole 'nother discussion! I am hoping for more radio friendly songs from album 2 also. Everytime I hear Rhianna, Pink or Katy Perry or even Bruno Mars on the radio, I kept thinking, "I wonder how Adam will sound like singing this song" or "wouldn't it be nice if Adam is singing this song?" I mean, that's all we are hearing on the radio nowadays!! >:( And welcome, miachihu!!!

Did David Cook's album get pushed back because the label didn't fully approve it as he submitted it? I don't follow other idols, but I know some of you do, and I'm curious about this in terms of the process for Adam's next album.
WELCOME MIACHIHU!!!!!!!
