Very early on in the Idol days I remember reading something attributed to Adam's friend Alisan. She said something to the effect that when someone like Adam has so much (talent, life force) people can be over whelmed by it and it is sort of his path to accept that and keep on. All artists have fans and those who aren't fans. However, Adam does draw very strong response from those who don't appreciate him. He is just "too much" in many ways for them. One thing I have noticed during this run of work with Queen is his ever increasing self confidence. He owns the stage in a more complete way. He looks fitter and sounds even better. I read that Jlo attributes her lasting career more to her work ethic and consistent focus than other things. Adam is becoming focused like a laser beam, and he has an incomparable voice. I really think this is the beginning of a new level of success for him. That one word imho says it all If we humans are lucky in our lifetime, we may have the privilege of seeing the greats, the icomparable Those in their fields that cannot be stopped. Sports, politics, singing and if we are very very lucky we recognize what we are seeing. I think it does tend to make some so jealous they cannot see, except to try to tear down. I think the turning point, when they become the minority and don't have the stamina to continue is happening right now! in·com·pa·ra·ble ˌinˈkämp(ə)rəb(ə)l/ adjective 1. without an equal in quality or extent; matchless. "the incomparable beauty of Venice" synonyms: without equal, beyond compare, unparalleled, matchless, peerless, unmatched, without parallel, beyond comparison, second to none, in a class of its/one's own, unequaled, unrivaled, inimitable, nonpareil, par excellence; More antonyms: ordinary, commonplace 2. unable to be compared; totally different in nature or extent. "censorship still exists, but now it's absolutely incomparable with what it was"

Oooh, I just caught up on the thread and I was going to make a joke about the single title, but now you're all being deep (which I also enjoy).
Anyhow, my joke was -- he's doing a cover of "Man in the Mirror." Ha ha!
But I like the idea of "Blue-Eyed Rhapsody" -- so that is my $5.00.

"Adam Lambert: Fearless Trailblazer". I'm not found of sound bite labels but that one is a keeper. As I recall, there wasn't anything metaphorical about Adam flipping off his naysayers. EDIT ...Lambert is a fearless trailblazer who literally flipped off his naysayers and hasn’t looked back once... Hey! The crap that girl has on her head is what Adam wore on his shoulder with the gray suit and spats. And, yes, Adam did LITERALLY flip the naysayers off. Wasn't he "asking" the media, "Is this gay enough for you?" This, folks, is one ballsy s.o.b. - it probably takes ALOT to piss him off but when he's determined that, in fact, he is pissed, you know it. ILHSM!

Here is my response to that random German magazine article..... What do you think of the new man ? Suse R Nothing, no one, is going to harsh the high I have with how successful Adam is, how talented he is, and the recognition he is getting now. And now that he is coming into his own, I have absolutely no interest in rehashing rude posts made during the Idol wars about Adam being fat, too gay, not gay enough, not having a rock voice, etc. He is one of the best living vocalists, he is a stellar entertainer, and a major label recording artist. He is a style leader and one of the sexiest, best looking men on the planet. Queen has given him an unparalleled creative platform. He is adored by millions. And he is nowhere near his peak.

I think Adam is looking and sounding greater than ever. However, he was gorgeous and sounded amazing in 2012 when QAL played Hammersmith. Why was he looked at askance and barely accepted by many in that iteration, whereas the accolades and praise are unbelievable this time? Granted Glamberts can explain in great detail what is different about every single performance. They would notice. But the general public and the media? What is so markedly different and superior this time around? Was it the PR and marketing work? The iHeart festival? I don't get it. I am thrilled to see Adam accorded the acclaim he so deeply deserves. I guess I should not look this gift horse or media horse in the mouth, huh?

He is so Fabulous that they needed a little time to process and accept. It is inevitable.
