I don't know where I scooped this gif from, but I think this is appropriate for Adam today.

I've been busy in the other thread today and just came to catch up with all of you and the news.
I've only been close to Adam once, at my M & G in Peoria on Sept 5th.
I found myself totally tongue tied, though I did mange to recall and say my name when he asked. Adam was wonderful. Since I didn't do the fan jabbering, he did it. He talked about how much I was going to love the concert that night. He talked about glam and telling a story and more that I can't remember now. Then I had my photo taken and he offered to take more with my son. We declined (my son is quite shy) the extra pic.
Anyway, I really do appreciate fans that can express themselves and show Adam some love. I know he enjoys the feedback.
Those tweets from Adam hurt my heart. I hate that he actually has to spell out the need for boundaries. Even though he didn't mean to call out everyone, it feels like he's withdrawing from us. I feel incredibly sad.
I hate that fans pushed him that far. :(

I would really love to post some cute pics with kittens and glitter to tell you how much I appreciate your welcomes, but I'm just figuring how to quote Yes, thank you to the lady who knows what Kyrgyzstan is and explaining!!! We are former soviet union - common culture, language, holidays are the same. But we are under american influence lately, e.g. I'm studying in an American University, getting a bachelors degree at home. And thanks for *praising* my language skills. In general, there is homophobia and *wild* behavior I would say, and Korn and Prodigy fans are dying to know who's up next. They can Google, you know. And the 1st thing that comes up when you Google "Adam Lambert" are the kissing pics and wikipedia page : However, as Maxidrom becomes more *european* and international, Adam's music should fit. I mean, Brainstorm has much softer sound. Plus, after Adam's last tweets I don't have any doubts - if he does a gig in Russia, that would be a HUGE eye-opener And I really hope to go, Moscow is 2-3 hours by plane from where I live. Russian fans don't know for sure, too. I guess we all wait for Maxidrom to announce officially. Have a nice day you all! P.S. Time zones LOL sorry for answering that late

Wow, talk about keeping it real, check out the blog entry Cheeks just tweeted. I've got total respect for the guy. @gocheeksgo With that established, here is something I've never said until now & will never say again: bit.ly/ebYiSHJust read this, and all I can say is "Wow." Do you suppose all the ass kicking/boundary setting going on today is part of Mercury coming out of retrograde, or some damn thing? In two years Cheeks has barely said Adam's name in public and I would be willing to bet that we will never see him reference Adam in the same way again. It's easy to forget that while Adam made the decisions that put him in the public eye and started the firestorm (not saying it was Adam's fault, obviously, just that he was the one who went to AI), there was a dramatic impact on Cheeks that neither of them likely anticipated. Neil has been more outspoken about the weirdness that comes with being almost famous because you are related to someone famous (or used to date them), but clearly he isn't the only one who has feelings about it. I love this blog entry in so many ways, and could probably write a long dissertation about all the reasons why, which would bore you all. Let me just say that Adam has fabulous taste in ex's.

You guys are making me a little nervous about this Russian concert. Doesn't sound like the place for a "POP" star. Adam can rock it out with the best of them - but what will he sing? Covers? Old The Citizen Vein material? New stuff? What? No reason -- I mean no reason -- to worry about Adam in Russia. They are great rock concert crowds there. And JMHO the US and Russia are about equal when it comes to LBGT rights and treatment. I expect he will do a version of the GNT show without all the effects -- and maybe do a few extra covers. I am 99.999999% sure that Adam will not do any CV materials. Since KORN is there -- so is Horse AKA Zac Baird -- who did the programming and filled in on keys for the GNT. Wonder if he will play keys for Adam for this show?

IMHO Cheeks seems very hurt and he seems to be feeling very used. The pictures of Cheeks and Adam are still up on the net,so Cheeks has an infamous Fame that he certainly didn't seek.He is his own person and he deserves respect. I get it.
I feel bad for Adam too, because so many others are riding his coattails,IMO Scarlett and that crew are sometimes OTT in using Adam. It's a tough business and people's feelings are often the first to be disregarded & trampled on.
In a way I feel bad that cheeks seems to blame Adam's success for causing his pain. It's the fame game and it's not always fair.Ask Neil, Sauli, Adam's parents and friends how Adam's fame has changed their lives. It is what it is. I love Adam and want all the riches, success and happiness for him.. so I can only stand back and think how lucky all of Adam's intimates are to know him and love him ,in spite of the inconvenience of losing a bit of their own lives.

Well, I think this rant had been building for a while, and was clearly written in the heat of the moment. I appreciate his complete honesty. And yeah, it had to have been insanely hard for Brad once Adam went on Idol. I can only imagine how many times he's been approached to tell the "real story" of Adam, both by tabloids offering cold hard cash, and perhaps by "friends" or acquaintances who just want gossip to spread. I really think Adam's circle has been incredibly good at protecting him and keeping info about him private. I also suspect that all of his friends with their own art to sell/promote are well aware that they gain interest by being friends of Adam. Adam himself referred to this in his twitter party. Really, really tough balancing act, and I think for the most part his friends have handled it with as much respect and dignity as is possible.

I was thinking about Adam's response during the twitter party to the question about how he felt about the fans being so interested in his friends and family, and his ambivalent response about being happy to help his friends but finding it a challenge to find the right balance. And I agree that Cheeks response seems to be a gut-level, in the moment reaction to months of frustration. I've always admired his loyalty to Adam- he could have easily furthered his own ambitions by talking about Adam. Many of Adam's friends have seen their profiles raised based on that friendship. But I didn't really think about how Cheeks was the only one who got drawn into the weird space of having his own history played out in a national discussion without him. Again, using Neil as a reference point since he's been so outspoken, Neil talks about his discomfort with seeing his family's photos casually posted all over the internet and used as people's avi's. I think I remember Cheeks saying that sometimes when he sees those old pictures of Adam from when they were together that its like looking at a ghost. I don't know why I'm feeling all word-y about this. But I'm feeling a whole lot of compassion for both Adam and Cheeks today about the challenges of living an authentic life in the middle of all the craziness.
