Fame (no matter how you get it) is a little like childbirth. Those who have experienced it can tell you all about it, but until you actually experience it yourself, you cannot realize how hard it actually is to live with. If you can't stand the fame once you have it, don't twitter, don't go out, don't have meet and greets, don't respond to fan mail, live your life in a bubble. Lots of famous people leave the country, move to Montana, don't go clubbing every night, stay in. Lots of celebrities live quiet little lives only to be heard from when they make a record or movie. They live very private lives. They totally ignore fans but continue to make money and live the good life because they were blessed with a talent that attracts the attention of people (fans). Bottom line to all the stars, celebrities, rich people, and all well-known good for nothings who are famous: Quit your bitchin' Too harsh? Sorry. But I think of the thousands of people with talent who never make it and would give anything to be in your shoes. It is hard to feel sorry for anyone who is rich and famous. We all have to live with the cards we are dealt. Most of us live with bigger problems than being rich and well-known. I hear what you're saying, and yes, to a point, I agree that there is a price to fame. Adam seems to know that and is pondering what it means, now that his life has changed completely. But sorry, why should famous people have to live their life in a bubble? Is it too much to expect that fans should just be fans without grossly overstepping all bounds of decency? As many have said, if someone touched MY face, they'd get a head-rocking slap in return. That is just not ok. And I'm not famous, LOL. Decent human behavior applies. Just because someone is famous, doesn't give assholes with no boundaries a free pass to use them for their own gratification. JMHO YMMV etc etc.  Ultimately, each person's job is to look out for his own happiness. Only you have experienced your particular life with your particular personality and life experiences. Celebrities, like people, are all different about what they need to be comfortable and fulfilled. Everyone has a right to figure out his own personal equation for happiness and communicate it to the others that share their world. When people share those kinds of things with me, And help me be clear about their needs and expectations, I realize the issues are important to them, and generally try to adjust my actions when necessary ro respect their reality. |
