He is guesting SNOL tonight....bet they spin him at least 2 times likely more that's just great...hope GT gets spun once... just saw in the main thread that GT was in a Twittamix already, so far so good. I am not where I can listen to the show though, don't know what else is being spun. |

GT was #28 on the Sirius Hits One Weekend Countdown today. So far it's been 39, 41, 39, 28. Up 11 spots in one week is awesome!

You mean as on multiple syndicated stations? No, just registers on Sirius hits One. But it is good for 10 spins there over the weekend.
I have bad news though. The spin on SNOL didn't register on the station log. :( This happens sometimes with Twittamix. It happened to GT once before, a long time ago.

But the SNOL spin not registering bites. :-/ How does this work? Do they rely on radio stations playlist or do they scan the stations for the song. Because if they must rely on the playlist from 538 not much is registered (it is very poor and I get my plays from replaying the shows (fast!) or from twitter). As far as I know there are companies here in the Netherlands or maybe international that have computers scanning the stations and registering the songs themselves. Those companies then provide the info to the stations for the charts. For instance the Mega Top 50 is using this company to provide them with numbers: www.soundaware.com/On their radio page they claim to know everything that's being played on radio ( www.soundaware.com/radio). ETA: According to this site GT is the #6 most played song on Dutch radio at the moment!!! If the mediabase numbers are based on such a system then GT is being recognized. If they indeed base their numbers on playlists then it won't. We'll see when the numbers are available I guess. The loss of a spin will be clear in those. |
