I still owe you guys the Chart updates from this weekend from The Netherlands. As GT is slowly dropping ALN is gaining!  Ghost Town:NL Top 40: #15 (from #12) (20 weeks) Mega Top 50: #14 (from #13) (21 weeks) Single Top 100: #19 (from #15) (21 weeks) iTunes Top 30: #24 (from #19) (21 weeks) Slam 40: Not charted anymore. (18 weeks) Global Dance Chart: #28 (from #31) (19 weeks) Another Lonely Night:Tipparade (pre-chart Top40): #1! (from #28) (2 weeks) Mega Top 50: New entry on #47!Slam 40: #33 (from #37) (2 weeks) GT now also dropped to #9 in the Airplay chart, but ALN entered the chart on #26!!!! See: www.entertainmentbusiness.nl/nationale-airplay-top-50In Shazam ALN is now on #13 in the Netherlands while GT drops to #61 (24 weeks in the top 100 already!). GT was shazamed more in it's week while it was Alarmschijf by the way as it was #3 after that week. It did also have Airplay on 3FM though and ALN didn't have that yet (except for the chart run on Saturday). Airplay in the Netherlands for ALN is now only 2 weeks happening, so he could rise further. Also after that Alarmschijf week GT was already in the Top 30 in iTunes. ALN didn't make that yet although it's hovering in the 30's somewhat. There are however two versions charting in iTunes quite often which didn't happen with GT. This could be fans who only bought the Deluxe version so far. I'm got no idea if Q-music adds those two versions in their chart. No big bump seen due to the performance on the show yesterday, but I didn't expect that very much as the show didn't have that many viewers (361k) and most aren't in the target group either I think (the audience members who were there for the show and not for Adam were mostly somewhat older). GT did get a bump back up in iTunes today into the top 20, but that might also be due to the triple plat news and the gig from Saturday. It did ensure that GT will be in the iTunes Top 30 for another week I think. TOH the album also made quite some appearances in iTunes again. Guess there are some people who like the new songs as well and are now ready to buy the album. We'll see how things work out here in the Netherlands. My feeling (and some other with me this weekend) is that ALN won't be as huge as GT was in the Netherlands, but I'm ready to be surprised. Still a long way to go. And this: YEAH! GT made it to Triple platinum here in the Netherlands!!!!! 
  
Although I don't understand the numbers on the plaque. Triple plat is 90k moves, but on the plaque it says over 10k downloads and over 4 million streams. That's over 50k total. It does say over, but only Spotify streams are over 7 million already. Guess we'll never know.
By the way: The certifying company changed the rules for Album awards to incorporate streams here in the Netherlands. Including streams TOH should probably have Gold as well (20k moves are needed for gold, but I don't know how much single streams count for an album sale). The rules were changed on the 1st of October, but for albums the numbers are taken into account from 1st of January 2015. I'm not sure if this was known when they requested the GT award. |

Radio question about ALN---does it have an adds date yet? And, if it doesn't have an impact date soon is it going to have a problem with the Holiday freeze? It feels like they may wait until after Halloween, but will that be a problem come December? WWFM was released in mid November and did just fine with the holiday freeze! |
