So if 100 streams = 1 sale, then how do we figure out the actual number of streams for GT, including not just Spotify but any other recognized streaming services? We need a math and statistics person to figure out what percent of the YT views and Spotify streams are just the US! |

We don't have the info necessary to calculate that. We would need to know the Total Activity figure which is the number that includes streaming. Without that anything is guess work. |

It's been in the top 100 in Spotify according the kworb, but I got no idea how much streams are needed for that. And I only could see recently it's in the top 100 because kworb added the stats to it's page. Maybe we can say a bit more about ALN in the future. Speaking of that the streams of ALN in Spotify are gaining each day at the moment. Daily increase last 8 days: 22,821 25,229 27,415 33,919 33,307 (Monday, always low) 35,286 38,354 42,926 It started slower than GT, but that might also be the problem that GT is still so popular in a lot of countries. GT rose back to #14 in Dutch iTunes today following the promo and also rose a bit in Spotify again. ALN was just top 30 for a bit, but has now dropped back to #89 :(. Guess we just have to be patient until the radio stations start playing it all over the world. With a little promo here and there it could lift off, but it's unsure when en how that will happen. |

Oh cool, didn't realize it was back in the top 100 USA on Spotify. I thought it had fallen off after 10/4. It's been as high as #84USA on 9/26 at the same time it hit #39 on the Global chart. It might have been higher a couple of weeks earlier but I didn't know how to track it then. Dutch Top 40 will incorporate YouTube streams in the future: They were taking into account social media trends already, but now it seems they will add the physical YouTube streams. This comes from a chart that doesn't want to incorporate downloads because they can be manipulated. Guess YouTube streams can be manipulated as well. It will probably skew the chart though. Maybe some opportunity as well since The Netherlands is his 9th country in YouTube in the world since September 2014.
