Talking about giving Lauren makeup tips but probably make her look like a drag queen! : I am no anthropologist, but it seems to be a trait among humans to maintain and pursue feuds and enemies for a long time. Extending thru centuries in some cases. I know some southerners still haven't forgiven the northerners for winning the Civil War (or, as the southerners say, "the war between the states") 150 years later. I have read that the animosity in the middle east actually goes back thousands of years. Go figure. Then, you have the "crab theory." Crabs in a bucket will actually pull down the one crab that is nearing the rim of the bucket. Women, in particular, (not every woman, please, no stereotyping, but what I have read) tend to favor and reinforce commonality, consensus, and equality. The woman who stands out in the crowd by virtue of unique features, independent, non-conventional thought, or extraordinary success and recognition is often criticized and resented rather than celebrated and appreciated. "Who does she think she is? She acts like she is better than us." (Please, don't jump on me. I love the camaraderie of women. Just sharing what I have read.) So, do you think that these things contribute to the attacks on Adam from fans (mostly females) of other Idol contestants? Just trying to make sense of the nonsensical.

glamnana - have never seen nor heard a version of IICHY from Upright Caberet. But this is for you ~ TY, kapsiz, and everyone else. I found the Upright vids at beginning of AI, when he hooked me, and I was searching for anything AFL. IICHY was one of the first ones I listened to, then he sang it on AI, and I was thrilled. Soon after though, the Upright version was gone. Although my senior moments are getting more & more frequent, I do not think I am imagining this. I remember my sis cried 'cause her dh was very ill & it was one of her fav love songs. She never saw the AI version. On the other hand, I have so many images of AFL floating around in my brain---------. I promised I wouldn't bother him too much, since he is so busy with new album & Sauli, but I guess I will just have to call Adam and ask him. What do you mean, I can't have his number? Of course I do, I mean, I think I do, don't I?

Talking about giving Lauren makeup tips but probably make her look like a drag queen! : Lot of bitter peeps over there. God, that's so lame it made me lol. Really? That's the best they could do? A drag queen joke? : And um, sorry, but Adam could walk through the wardrobe and makeup departments blindfolded, with one arm tied behind his back, and do a better job of styling Lauren than whomever did it last week. Rabbitrabbit, ITA with your entire post. AI isn't just trying to erase all memory of Lee from the public consciousness, it is undermining its own narrative. And it's ridiculous and cruel. I agree with everyone else, as I've long expected that Lee would get his walking papers the day after the finale, but never in a million years did I not think they wouldn't fulfill the implied agreement that the winner gets to hand off his or her crown. Two freaking minutes wouldn't kill them and yeah, I'm sure they will come up with some appalling filler like they did in Season 8. And then Nigel will sit there and *shrug* we just didn't have any room.
