Adam,RCA and Trespassing..I just remember the album being months late coming out.. There was lots of interest by the public and then the WAIT, frustrating fans and others.. to top that off RCA did little to promote the album after it finally came out.. So they gave Adam a heads up to executive produce and then took the power away from him and didn't use his own fabulous songs for singles. To add insult to injury.. His style of innovative ,but retro music ,like Shady ,was used by others who ruled the charts and won all kinds of awards,Grammy included... Adam was promoting Trespassing, basically by himself..Running from radio station to radio station trying to get the singles he didn't write played.. This with little success. This was his baby totally and I remember how proud Adam was of this album and IMHO he was devastated . I think Trespassing has classic album written all over it.. I hope it will be rediscovered. When I think about how RCA treated Adam I just want to scream . IMHO ,if I had to take a guess I believe' There I said It 'is a throwing the mic is his FU to RCA..I'm sure many people have been screwed one way or another in their life times.. so Universal theme..:( You are me! Every single time I hear Shady, I want to slap everyone that works for RCA, that ever worked for RCA and that will work for them in the future.

Re: Lyrics I thought TISI was a FURCA song right from the beginning..... to them and anyone else who has wanted him to play it safe to achieve a certain goal. It's not like he would come right out and bluntly say this...... so he dances around the meaning when talking about it. That being said..... you can NEVER take all song lyrics literally. They can be combinations of different ideas and experiences... they can contain both reality and imaginings. Sometimes words or even whole lyric lines are inserted simply because they fit the melody. It can often be that simple. Totally agreed! I should not take any song literally, but here is what I am hearing since day one: You say you want the truth whether I like having Dr.Luke's awful production on Trespassing, but you can't take it if I would tell you it sucks, So I give you lies telling you I am ok with another second-rate Claude Kelly song as first singleI give you lies about that left-over Bruno song as second single, too.You say you want the best album I could make, but you destroy it by relegating Runnin', Take Back and Nirvana to bonus tracksSo I keep it inside going on interviews gushing about how it is the album I wanted to makeI keep it inside how I hated postponing the release just to get NCOE in there... I tell you something, now that it is March 2013 and I am not making any stupid 80s cover albumsIt's a double-edged sword you're giving - you think you don't have to take me seriously, but so do IAnd I can't see the truth in living When we hide behind a wall of fear, so let me talk to a Shirley Halperin so the world can learn how I feelAnd you don't see it It's a twisted dream you believe in (where you can give me second-rate Britney, Bruno and Pink rejects, even if one of them became a hit somehow thanks to the AMA backlash)And what's the use in pretending? (that I like being with a company that cares more for its producers than its artists)Let's make the smoke and mirrors disappear - lemme see if WBR might be interested in doing the job right... Just kidding, of course. But for me it is a FURCA song of the highest order. WOW You sound so right .. You translated the lyrics and to me it makes total sense.

Chemradery is a brilliant band name - and what a nice tweet to Adam THUMBS UP on that name! I LISTENED TO A FEW OF THEIR YOUTUBES.... I really like their music and the lead singers voice. I am just debating when to buy their EP...thinking after the performance tomorrow may impact their perception more, if a few sales occur after their set! Following Adam does bring some artists to my attention vicariously or overtly! TISI---for me... The song is a "whole package" of feelings and thoughts--- like how sometimes one thought leads us to another thought in our brain, and they may link/or not but the sentiment and feelings are powerful and feel the same. ---some personal messages about being out, and taking pride in his self worth and life, and gifting that message to others, ---plus his thoughts re the business/job side, of the life he has chosen, and how he has matured and grown with his knowledge of the industry and feeling he can now handle things more the way he really wants to be "handled".

This is how I have felt ever since the whole fiasco happened. Trespassing is a brilliant album and I think his songs would have done really well had they been promoted. OH well, old news but still bugs me!!

LOL! We seem to have a total consensus on the FURCA theme of TISI - it doesn't happen too often here 8-) I have to admit that any mention of BTIKM and especially of NCOE makes me shudder... I find the latter to be one of the most annoying songs ever! ...even Adam couldn't make it sound passable... it was criminal to have it recorded not to mention make it a single... the thing is that as much as I want to say "well...water under the bridge" I can't, mainly because of TISI as it tells me how much it hurt and still hurts him (IMO).

Just to know his fans know has to be of comfort.

I'm sitting on a screen of the full lyrics and I get it, I really get it. Thanks to everyone who posted the "unsaid" lyrics like kryptoman68 did because that really solidified it. I think I may do my own version of that soon but right now I'm just soaking it up.
