Wow! That was stunning. I don't usually watch SYTYCD, but it's Sasha. I so want her to win.

Sasha was incredible. She has real presence when she dances.
This is the first season I've watched SYTYCD. I knew I would love it and I didn't want to get sucked into another reality show. Even the auditions are so compelling. Why can't Nigel figure out how to make Idol this hard to look away from? I am now sucked in for the rest of the season.

One reason (not the only) is that these dancers have lots of years of training and practice--hard core. Therefore, even the ones that get cut are highly skilled. No one is walking in off the street cuz they just like to dance. When you've got people with real skill, etc., that's pretty entertaining on it's own. Don't need as many backstories and other silliness to fill time and hook people.

Ohhh.. Contemporary is the killer dance.. along with Quick Step.. but Sasha did it GREAT.. BELIEVABLE.. I think she learnt a lot from GNT with Brooke's choreography Wonder if the guy she danced with knows that she likes girls.. ..

I really enjoyed this week. Is it on again tomorrow? I swear we need a calendar: Monday - Platinum Hit Tuesday - The Voice Wednesday - SYTYCD Thursday - SYTYCD (?)

I am a long time SYTYCD fan. My guess of what will happen tomorrow night. Nineteen on the top 20 will be chosen with one spt left and Natalia and Sasha left. Two sisters one spot. Sasha will ultimately get it and they will being Natalia back next season.
I also think they are downplaying Sasha's talent. She had to dance for her spot to go to the Vegas round. They critiqued her Broadway posture. This will show growth when she is just amazing on the live shows when the voting begins.
Sasha's interpretation and passion seems stronger than many. I am not sure Natalia would have made it this far without Sasha on the show. I do enjoy how light she is on her feet and she dances with such passion. They are a fun duo.

It seems that Sasha-Natalya story is one of their "main" lines... they got incredible screen time compared to the others... Natalya got a free pass...interesting... Would it be silly to suspect that the show is counting on attracting the Glambert forces to watch? Am I too self absorbed?

hmmm.. I am loving how much we get to see Sasha.. but really don't understand why Natalia is still in the running..
don't get me wrong I like Natalia but, I just don't see it.. the skill level isn't there.. and after seeing the others who are getting cut.. I am confused why they are keeping Natalia..
You can see Sasha's talent.. and I can appreciate how well Natalia moves.. but I can't "see" actual techincal talent.. anyone understand what I mean.
Well , you are probably right about the way the cut goes.. I remember seeing a preview clip asking Sasha about how she felt if only one of them went. So that is probably what they were talking about.

I have been a long time fan of SYTYCD and have always felt as though the level of talent was vastly greater than the talent on idol. These dancers have trained for years to attain this level of skill. I am looking forward to the top 20 when they begin dancing the choreographers' routines. I find myself moved to tears by several performances each season. I am excited for Sasha--it's going to be fun to be invested enough in someone to vote again.

I agree with you about Natalia. I think they are playing games with the sister backstory. They put some of the less skilled through knowing they'll be easy to cut later on.

And soooooooo smart for thinking of the "sister angle." She would have never gotten all this screen time by herself. She knows how reality TV works!! And if one of them makes it through to Top 20, they will already have a fanbase from this! ETA: No, I don't think Adam has anything to do with SYTYCD showing so much of Sasha. It's all the sister thing they are playing up for good TV. I hope they never mention Adam because someone I know who, watches the show all the time, and who did not know about Sasha being on Adam's tour (until I told her) thinks Sasha shouldn't be there now because she is too professional already. Ya, me and my big mouth. :-/
