They became the music. Was truly flow-y. I'm glad Sasha had that after the cha cha . It SO depends on the choreo--Sasha didn't sell her soul in the interview...
ETA-- no dead dad, no shooting, no great immigrant story, but she sparkled, so I hope people liked that!

I know nothing about dance styles and techniques. Just know what I like. I think that Melanie is an exquisite dancer. There is something so smooth and elegant and classy about her dancing. That said, I am now a bit bored with her. That style seems to permeate everything that she does. She never quite loses it. And, on certain styles, it shouldn't be there. Her solo... looked like just about every other solo or dance she has done. I don't know about difficulty level, but Sasha's solo was more interesting to me. More real. More diverse. So, I give it to Sasha. When I saw them dance together in this routine, I saw whey the judges love Melanie... she's a good technical and she has that the old movie or 60's looks and movement or elegance and she looks pretty in that dress. Why do they have to choose that color for Sasha? She looks so funny in that dress and that color...

God, those kids had a shitload to remember tonight. Props to all of them for that. ANd that was a pretty classy number to end on. Both looked lovely. Very warm connection. I liked it a lot. As we've all said again and again, I'm not sure Melanie has showed us much beyond her element, but I'll hand it to her, her element is beautiful in a weighty, smooth, underwater-grace kind of way. She moves like we all move in the pool. Sasha, to me, is far more exciting, and thus more winning. Sharp, bright, graceful, strong, light, beaten, whispy, regal--she does all of these very well. Hopefully enough voters agree. I sure hope so. The comments section on some of the SYTYCD articles have been pretty pro-Melanie from the dancers, but pretty pro- Sasha from lay people.

Mel and Sasha told a story beautifully with their movements and emotions. The end when they went back to their spaces by the fences - I almost felt like tearing the fences down so they could be free to leap across the stage.

I don't like this Marko/Tadd step dancing. Yeah, I didn't think that was that great either.

Can't take all the back story pimping but that's just me...

Boy, I'm not sure Nigel should be calling it for a girl at this point. The audience didn't seem to like it either. I guess I don't care if he pisses off people about Melanie, but I would hate him to make people mad about Sasha too.
