Wouldn't it be hilarious if the song catches on 'cause it is played at sporting events? Yes! *** This is WB Promo at work.  My hope is they use it for Baseball because that has been referred to as "The Show" for over 100 years. |

it's a problem for these people because Adam is gay. Of course, the song is perfect - notice they don't tweet about the song - they tweet about him. I think he didn't get blowback from football and basketball fans because they did not have his name on the screen like they did with hockey. I checked out the feeds for the people who made snarky comments about Adam having a song in a NHL game -- mostly these are people who are snarky. Hockey fans are different than other sports fans. I did not see one comment that indicate any of these tweeters had an issue with Adam because he was gay. They could have an issue because he is not someone who drinks PBR and eats Doritos. |

It is sad, and one only has to read any Idol board when an alum gets the opportunity to sing the NA at a sporting event. Eventually someone will question why literally every runner-up and winner has done it, except Adam. That question never fails to be answered over and over by those that have many reasons why he isn't the 'right' choice. Funny how out of the 29 Idol top 2 (the latest winner just did the NA at the Manny Pacquiao fight) he is the only one who isn't 'right'. SMH I though the televised sporting events, at least the football ones, require the singer to lip-sync to their own recording of the NA? Maybe Adam does not want to do that. I'd love to know if he'd been ever invited and declined...somehow I feel this's not the case... I am obviously projecting my own feelings - for me sporting events are almost the "enemy territory" as far as Adam is concerned...that reaction is expected as far as I am concerned... hope it changes... |

I hope we Glamberts can keep "our cool" in response to some negativity. Our reactions reflect on Adam, so there's a real chance here too Agreed. (But.... f#ck 'em!) Eta. Or... puck 'em! (Sorry, couldn't resist.) Puck 'em - ha! that's funny. It pisses me off, tbh, sizzling63 - but don't worry. I only read Twitter, I don't have Twitter. But some of Adam's fans have engaged already - that's how it is (shrug), Adam has a lot of fans and the only thing they always agree on is they pretty much like Adam. I've taken a breath, now, and console myself with the thought that those negative tweets are in the minority - in the sense that more people saw/heard and didn't tweet negatively about it. So . . . there's that. Speaking of the NA a similar thing has happened twice now when a young Mexican-American man (whose name escapes me, sorry) has sing the National Anthem at games - idiots (I have no patience lately) tweeting complaints about him being "illegal," etc. Anyway, these tweeters heard Adam - he trespassed right into their ears. |
