Oy, I'd hate to see those empty prime seats, it it is obvjous these were "production seats" and some people either decided to be in GA or just didn't show... I don't realize the theater had sound issues, too bad....but from my periscope/ytube perspective London was Amazing! Thanks for "brill"

This girl in the middle appears to be the tour photographer and maybe a production staffer. She may be both of those but she is also the VIP coordinator.

I will never not be annoyed with the hotel stalking! Hotel stalking happens, but it's an invasion of privacy. Adam keeps a smile and waves, but regardless which country he's in it shouldn't be an expectation for Adam to stop. I assume that security should always be a concern, not only in Russia.

Adam asked, so here is my response (that I will not share publicly) ... AP has a great voice but I don't feel a "connection" when she sings. I liked many of her performances, but I haven't gone back for another listen so far. Nice voice though. On the other hand, the very special artist that is so much adored by this fandom grabs me instantly and often puts me into a different world. It sure speaks for Adam that he doesn't forget to support his friend despite a hectic touring schedule.

Chapter 2 : MANCHESTER, England, England.....
In the run-up, I'd been feeling that Manchester would be more low-key than London. DUH!
It was all standing. We bought EarlyEntry tickets; as ever, I didn't want to be right at the front but didn't want to queue all day to avoid being right at the back.
Manchester is only 45 minutes drive from my house and we got there about 40 minutes before the doors opened. By that time, the row of general GA people extended for a couple of hundred yards up the street. Yet many of those who had Photo Op and EarlyEntry tickets had still been there since the crack of dawn to ensure front row! I estimate that there were about 50-60 people in each of these groups.
There were fewer older men here than for the London show and there were more middle aged women dressed in sparkles and feathers. But mostly, the audience had a flavour of younger, student type fans, male and female, which can only augur well for great word-of-mouth exposure for Adam. The venue is part of the university campus.
The Early Entry ticketholders were self-regulating....each of us marked with our queue number by our very own Sandysva... I was EE52 - the last one numbered in fact. This wonderful system (thanks, Sandy) allowed us to nip into the next-door students union for a quick glass of red! The whole GA 'queuing' thing was one of the most pleasant and easy I've ever had.
It wasn't like that for everyone though. There were a number of disabled fans there and we were horrified to see them kept outside in the cold...even when the EarlyEntry people had gone into an indoor holding area. I won't dwell on this but I really do think they were treated badly. We had no idea until we were inside that they were to be placed in a far and enclosed balcony....I hope that something good comes from the publicity this is now getting.
Our bags were searched and for the first time, my ipad was taken away and kept in the box office. We entered the hall in an orderly way. Half the width of the stage and about six feet back on the left, was cordoned off for the photo op people and we stood on the right. Even being the last of the group, I could have stood within two people of the stage but we chose to be more central and about six rows back....so I could do my usual 'ducking' if his eyes came my way. (I know....why would they? )
Heads up: when the photo op people were in place and the barriers removed, there was a mad rush to reposition and get into the new space created. We stayed where we were (because it was perfect) but a lot of others were displaced involuntarily, in the rush and tussle. So BE PREPARED for this at your shows.
I should get to Adam I suppose....
The even more shallow bit - I have never seen him look more beautiful. I could see every detail. Loved the new leather jacket and the silver hair is breathtaking with the red outfit. Couldn't work out if he had lenses in but his eyes in GT were mesmerising. Of all the lounge suits in all the world he chose that one - but I always tell myself it could have been the white one from the ALN video and I feel grateful. And I have grown to truly LOVE his tattoos.
Talking of which, this show was the perfect embodiment of Adam's Black Blob - the infinite exchange of energy between artist and audience. I have no idea where it came from but from the moment he appeared, the greatest roar I have ever heard went up and didn't come down for the whole show - which turned out to be his longest because it became an immediate, responsive process, not something pre-planned and measured. He genuinely didn't seem to want to let go.
I have seen lots of Adam performances and I confess, once or twice I have felt he was 'going through the motions'. But suddenly the stars collided to produce the perfect moment. It couldn't have been planned or manufactured; it simply happened. This was the most 'natural' I have ever seen him. I could see his face clearly and he could hardly contain the joy and excitement - and the surprise- of what he was being given by that audience. And when he talked to them, he was just himself...it felt like a real desire to connect from his side as well as ours. And his voice was fabulous and every element of his performance was loose and sexy and confident.....
What struck me was, when the cheering started to abate each time, it would suddenly start up again, even louder....like a great billowing wave. I saw somewhere, a music professional write something like he had never before witnessed a roar like that at the end of Let's Dance... Adam said he had nearly been blown over - but I think he just tripped...
I think there is now a video of the whole show, showing the bits between songs and putting what happened in its full context.
It was an unforgettable joy to be standing within feet of Adam and seeing so clearly what it meant to him....
It was hard to sleep that night but when I did I must have had my hand curled under my chin because I woke with a backwards imprint of EE52 on my neck.... For one crazy moment, I thought of having my first tattoo - four characters to remember this night always.
But I don't need them.....
From now on, when any of you are going to a show, inside I will be wishing you an experience like this one.
HAPPY MANCHESTER, my friends....

Adam mention on my local newspaper site! An article about Axle Rose fronting AC/DC with an analysis of a couple of bands that had their singers replaced. Very good mention of Adam with Queen and also accompanied with a BoRap video of RiR! www.gelderlander.nl/algemeen/show-en-cultuur/wisselen-van-leadzanger-soms-succesvol-soms-dramatisch-1.5937819Translation Adam parts: Swapping lead singer sometimes successful, sometimes dramatically
Golden move After the death of Freddie Mercury (1991) Queen got Paul Rodgers on board, who was lead singer of Bad Company among other things. A very extreme opposite. Mercury made fame as a flamboyant artist with a voice impossible to categorize, Paul Rodgers was a somewhat stiff blues rocker.
American Idol winner Adam Lambert (34), who currently is on stage with the old rockers of Queen, appears to be a golden move. A new generation, but with the flair of the original frontman. Many are praiseful.
