This has placed significant economic pressure on Australian producers, both fishers and farmers, whose costs are significantly greater due to remoteness of many of the farming and fishing sites, as well as stringent environmental and food safety standards placed on them by government. While country of origin labelling has given consumers greater certainty over the origins of their barramundi at the retail level, no requirement exists for the food service and restaurant trades to label the origins of their barramundi. In the US, barramundi is growing in popularity. Monterey Bay Aquarium has deemed US and Vietnam-raised barramundi as "Best Choice" under the Seafood Watch sustainability program. Barramundi are a favorite food of the region's apex predator, saltwater crocodiles (Crocodylus porosus), which have been known to take them from unwary fishermen. Nile perch—a similar fish found in the Afrotropic ecozone, or sub-Saharan Africa—is often mislabeled as barramundi. It does not fall under the recommendation for US-farmed barramundi.

Adam Lambert has two big projects in the works: An appearance in Fox’s upcoming TV reboot of Rocky Horror Picture Show (watch the trailer below) and his fourth album, which the pop-rocker will be working on with frequent collaborator Max Martin. But before moving forward, let’s take one more look back at Adam’s 2015 album The Original High — particularly the title track. A demo for the song has surfaced online (and was spotted by Digital Spy), and it’s laid back, finger-popping instrumentation is departure from the housey nature of the final album version we’ve come to know. In June of 2015, Adam talked to Idolator about this same demo version of “The Original High.” “The melody was all there. I think it was mostly the verses that stayed, but it was actually more chill — like acoustic-y chill in the beginning, as a songwriting demo,” Lambert explained. “We slowly discovered that throwback house thing was gonna be a big part of the album.
