"I don't think it is sad at all to watch him do Killer Queen. He has said that he gets to use his theatrical side. I think he enjoys Killer Queen a lot." 1jun14, I did not say KQ was sad. I said he was acting the part and I enjoy it also. What I said was sad was to think that Adam really has a Johnny type persona that he needed to hide while performing on stage and his off time. It is just my opinion, but it would not be healthy or productive if he had to put that much effort into hiding his true self. I prefer to believe that Adam is pretty much being himself and Johnny is being himself. Neither is good or bad just not the same. Sorry. My mistake. Doing ten things at once here. I think that he does have a Johnny type persona. I think he has hidden it while performing. It is situational for him. On the WAG tour, he was full out, balls to the wall in his element. Those shows were so much fun to watch. He was so camp, so sexy and so much expressing his sexuality with abandon. His clothing choices, playing with a banana, butt bumping with Terrance, vamping with Johnny. It was also a trying period for him with RCA not supporting Trespassing and him not being able to tour it in the US. He was just going to do what he wanted on that tour and be damned to anyone who didn't like it. He, Terrance and Johnny brought a totally different side to his show. It was fun. I love off the wall Adam. On the other hand, when he has performed on Idol, morning shows, Leno, Fallon, Dubai, Singapore etc, he does pull back. That is the beauty of him. He knows when to turn it on and turn it off. He strikes a balance. I don't know how much effort he puts into it. I think that he jumps into being one persona to the other easily. He has been doing it a long time now. When he moved to LA, in order to get jobs and work, he probably had that down pat already. When he played Malaysia, he said that the show that they would do would be just like playing for grandma and grandpa. So it is my opinion that yes, he does have a Johnny persona. I don't think that he hides it on his off time. I do think that he flexes it performance to performance.

As far as different personalities, it's no different than you going out with girlfriends, drinking, laughing, carrying on then next day going to lunch with Grandma and Aunt Petunia and drinking iced tea, talking about school or the kids and telling them what time you'll see them at church on Sunday. You aren't hiding anything, neither is fake, it's just that we all adjust our behavior to the situation. If we don't learn how to do that by age 10, there could be consequences throughout your life. Of course Adam is sillier, less inhibited with his friends, we all are.
