Sorry. My mistake. Doing ten things at once here. I think that he does have a Johnny type persona. I think he has hidden it while performing. It is situational for him. On the WAG tour, he was full out, balls to the wall in his element. Those shows were so much fun to watch. He was so camp, so sexy and so much expressing his sexuality with abandon. His clothing choices, playing with a banana, butt bumping with Terrance, vamping with Johnny. It was also a trying period for him with RCA not supporting Trespassing and him not being able to tour it in the US. He was just going to do what he wanted on that tour and be damned to anyone who didn't like it. He, Terrance and Johnny brought a totally different side to his show. It was fun. I love off the wall Adam. On the other hand, when he has performed on Idol, morning shows, Leno, Fallon, Dubai, Singapore etc, he does pull back. That is the beauty of him. He knows when to turn it on and turn it off. He strikes a balance. I don't know how much effort he puts into it. I think that he jumps into being one persona to the other easily. He has been doing it a long time now. When he moved to LA, in order to get jobs and work, he probably had that down pat already. When he played Malaysia, he said that the show that they would do would be just like playing for grandma and grandpa. So it is my opinion that yes, he does have a Johnny persona. I don't think that he hides it on his off time. I do think that he flexes it performance to performance. Totally disagree. Don't even know where to begin, but disagree. As far as different personalities, it's no different than you going out with girlfriends, drinking, laughing, carrying on then next day going to lunch with Grandma and Aunt Petunia and drinking iced tea, talking about school or the kids and telling them what time you'll see them at church on Sunday. You aren't hiding anything, neither is fake, it's just that we all adjust our behavior to the situation. If we don't learn how to do that by age 10, there could be consequences throughout your life. Of course Adam is sillier, less inhibited with his friends, we all are. And, since he is a performer, it is also knowing your audience.

If I am honest with myself, I have to admit that Johnny's demeanor makes me uncomfortable as well. I have to question why that is so. I have worked with and around gay men, some extremely macho, some extremely effeminate, my entire career. I have been in the arts with many gay men since a child. I have had gay, lesbian and trans students over the years. I have good friends who are LGBT. I truly believe I am not prejudiced about sexual orientation. Yet, I have this visceral squiggly response to Johnny's extremely effeminate, nellie affect. What does that say about ME? What does that say about the impact of early, systematic programming against people who are LGBT, by the society and culture in which I was raised? How do I de-program myself? What other "hidden" prejudices and perceptions do I carry around? Much food for thought. Well said. I just find him sassy. I think he'd be a riot to hang out with. ITA think he would be a riot to hang out with!!!

I so want to comment on the "herding sheep" we watched today. Johnny looked as a child would, with glee, and really didn't know how to relate to the sheep. Waving his arms and running toward them, of course sent the sheep running off. I wish I knew where he was raised. Couldn't find it. I think, had the sheep walked toward him, he would have been delighted but what to say to them?
People that have not spent time with animals don't read them correctly. Lay down in a field and watch animals come up and sniff you. They don't walk on you either - even cows in a herd. Caveat: no bulls or beef cattle.
So Johnny needs lesson #2 in how to "talk" to the animals. I find him beautiful and child like, filled with joy, with Adam giggling in the background. Adam needs lesson #2 with animals also. Adam doesn't understand an animal that doesn't smother you with licks, etc. Watch an animals eyes, just as you would a human, and you will see what they are thinking. They are much deeper than most imagine.

Johnny's demeanor? Adam's demeanor? My demeanor? They all are genuine, but they change with the circumstances, the audience, the friendship circle, the vibe. We are of many colors and our moods shape the way we act and interact at any given time. I can be very focused and intent. Unremorseful and driven. I can be silly and sensitive. I can be sultry and sexy. I can be anything I want. So can Adam. So can his very talented friends. What we ARE is always there; even if it's hidden away at the moment; for any given reason. Adam's Unca Dave saw his nephew's baby finger lifted in the air as he played the piano when he was four or five. He turned to Eber and said "He's gay, you know". - - - Whether that baby finger is lifted on a chaise, or is caressing a microphone - it's still the same baby finger and it is part of a man who knows how to manipulate his persona to suit the situation - just like I can, or you can, if we choose to do so. I see people in my life who push the buttons. Challenge my perspective by being flamboyantly 'out there' in their way - through piercings, tattoo art, dress, affect, intent, provocative actions . . . and, sometimes, just by being sincerely who they are. About seven years ago, Adam opened my eyes to these alternative means of expression and being. I embrace them all. I learn from them all. I even experiment, too. It truly has broadened my horizons; my view of this fascinating world. When I encounter someone/something that's uncomfortable, I face it, head-on. I enter the flame. I've never been burned; only taught. My lessons continue; through inspiration brought back to life when I heard "Mama . . . "

Who's Johnny Lol? I just figured Adam became a persona or acted a certain way based on the tone of the song. Like he said after Amas, WWFM is a different energy. I don't think it means he is set and set like this person. He just is.

no diving signs everywhere, that is a lounge pool not a swimming pool. We have a fairly new pool & from what i learned, most people don't do deep pools anymore. Ours is called a sport pool. The deepest point is 4 1/2 feet. Pretty much everyone can "touch" bottom all the way across. It is great for volleyball. Too shallow for diving, but deep enough for feet first jumping in. Ours took 7 weeks and was a total backyard remodel, 100% new landscaping, firepit, complete outdoor kitchen. So, IMO, Adam's is taking REALLY long! I wonder if it might be because LA might have inspections backed up and it takes longer to get inspectors out to projects? My city is only 60K, so that would be much easier. My diagnosis of the shape is, definitely a heart, with a seat going across the middle. It looks to me like they have kept the original jacuzzi area. The retaining wall, on that slope, is an excellent idea! Probably required. Yes, play pools rather than diving are now the way to go. Just looking at proportions, based on the cinder blocks and other cues, I don't think this one is even as deep as yours at any point. It is roomy though and should be a great party and relaxation pool.

Fans don't really know Adam ,I guess It's fun to guess.many have their own opinions.. To me I just love Adam and enjoy what he chooses
to show me as a fan.. As for his private life, well that's his and his alone..I'd rather not know... enjoy my fantasy of having my very own multifaceted, fluid Adam..
As He often says about things It's all smoke and mirrors.. I'm good with that, after all isn't all of life just an illusion

Of course Adam is sillier, less inhibited with his friends, we all are. Sorry that you didn't see clearly the point I was trying to make. I also never eluded to him being fake. He is not fake at all. He is probably one of the realist entertainers in the world of show biz. I was not talking about regular people, and how they adjust to different friends and family situations. We all know that everyone does that. The way you act with your mom and dad would be much different than your best longtime friends. What I was saying is how he adjusts to different performances from country to country and TV show to TV show. It's not multiple personality at all. It's still him. He just knows what audience he can be more of his free spirited self with. My choice of the word "hidden" might not have been a good selection. I didn't mean literally that he was hiding himself. I don't believe that he would ever do that. At least I don't think that the Adam we know would do that. He just instinctually knows how to present himself in varying scenarios. The original point and post was about Johnny being too femme for someone here. I stated that Adam is very much the same way. It's not something bad. He is who he is. He just does not display it all the time when he has a show. I'm sure that Johnny also has a barometer when to be femme and when to pull it back. It's just realistic that they jump back and forth.
