I did read it back though and I went, ‘Oh god, I sound like I’m so harsh.’” When asked if he was ordered to diss Azalea purely to stir up controversy in an attempt to boost ratings for the Channel Seven show, Lambert said: “It’s hard to explain. It’s almost like a sibling rivalry, healthy competition between all four of us. “We tease each other so much backstage and it’s funny. We try to mess with each other in all ways. We make little digs on camera and backstage and I think we all get that this is a great, fun competition.” Speaking of the competition, Lambert’s two remaining hopefuls, Isaiah Firebrace and Amalia, now each have a one in five chance of winning X Factor Australia.

So XFactorAu first season was 2005 on Channel 10 and they dropped it when the ratings down. Channel 7 picked it up. So it's been over a decade. That's probably why the ratings down, even though they have really good judges this year. It's almost like US Idol got Keith Urban on it's last couple years.
