God, how I would love to hear Adam cover Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah! YES! I know many want a duet with KD but I want Adam singing it solo!

Would love it as well but there are so many covers of it already and Penatonix's recently released one that has blown up bigtime. Exploitive, but what if he did a cover of "Everybody Knows" right now...that would be timely on several fronts. A little press never hurt, right? For me, the best cover is K D Lang on the Juno awards in 2005! Penatonix's is great but K.D.'s is spectacular in so may ways. Check it out! Everybody Knows is also a favorite! Watched this again last night...her cover of this song is exquisite...much better than her Olympics version of it IMO. I adore her voice. And I got teary at how moved she was at the applause afterward.

Does this group Pentatonix only sing covers and have no original music out? I saw them when Adam headed the bill here in St. Louis for, I think, a Radio concert promotion and thought their harmonies were nice but I don't think I would pay to see them by themselves. They are just not my thing. Yes, they have release about a dozen original songs but they are most famous for their cover songs. I also saw them live because of Adam and enjoyed them but not enough to go to a Pentatonix solo concert. I love Pentatonix but would only go to a concert if it was only Mitch, or Mitch and Scott lol...Mitch is my favorite voice though. I've contemplated buying some of their music but I find I get bored with them easily. Some of their stuff all sounds the same.

satisfied, thank you so much for posting that video. I still don't know how to do that. YES, SHIVERS!!!!! YW, cheriemelissa. KD is a national treasurer (originally a Canadian, like Cohen). I don't really know how to post vids either - I just copy and paste and hope for the best. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I am Canadian too. Born in NY to Canadian parents who were in show business. At 2 weeks old they took me home to Toronto where I was raised. I have loved Leonard Cohen for most of my life and K.D.Lang has been in my music library since the beginning!

Wow. Just came from a Pentatonix concert in NJ where they sang Hallelujah and briefly talked about Mr.Cohen. I had no idea he died and they didn't mention it (probably didn't know either). Does this group Pentatonix only sing covers and have no original music out? I saw them when Adam headed the bill here in St. Louis for, I think, a Radio concert promotion and thought their harmonies were nice but I don't think I would pay to see them by themselves. They are just not my thing. Hi adamrocks. I was unable to check back in before now and I'm just now seeing your (and others') questions about PTX. The show last night was a blast and my daughter and I enjoyed it immensely! I will definitely go see them again whenever they are in the area. PTX originally started out covering all kinds of songs but to just say covers is not to do justice to what this a cappella group actually does. They recreate songs like a full band, but with only their voices replicating musical instruments or EDM! They are so good at it that their videos rack up hundreds of millions of views. They have also won a Grammy in the last 2 years for their vocal prowess & a cappella arrangements: one for Daft Punk medley (almost 217 million views); and the other for Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy. People were actually covering PTX's covers!! Daft Punk MedleyPTX released their first original album last year, which debuted #1 on the Billboards 200 chart. "Sing", an original single from that album, was reworked to now be the opening song for NFL Thursday night football this season! So Carrie has Sunday night football and PTX has Thursday night. Not shabby! NFL Thursday NightNot to mention their Christmas album went Platinum during the short Xmas season last year. Their new Christmas album also seems set to sell a ton again this Holiday Season. So yeah. Carol of the BellsI feel like I'm doing the same explanations for them as I do for Adam. LOL People will tell me they don't like Adam's music or that they don't know if they would pay to see him in a concert. Oh well, we can't all like the same things or the world would be a mighty boring place I guess. Adam and PTXBTW, Kirstie of PTX has been to 2 QAL shows and has tweeted more than once how awesome Adam is and that it is the best live concert experience for her (I'm paraphrasing but that is the gist). Edited
