My dearest Betty, I've been away from my computer all day, and just now saw the LUSCIOUS cakes for my birthday. Thanks so very much - I'm drooling all over the place!!
I've only skimmed the thread today (got caught up with the cakes), but I'll just add my two cents worth about the EP, LP, being dropped by WB, whatever. I choose to be optimistic about A4, and though it is very difficult, I'll be patient and wait and see what our wonderful boy gives us for new music. Whatever it is and whenever it comes, I know I'll love it!!!

well, Atop was lively today. All I have to say is that we should all be such a "failure" in our career. Adam is so lucky, he has financial security and can focus on his art and not worry about paying the bills. He has a part time job touring the world like a rock star. I have a suspicion that Adam is done worrying about radio play and whether or not his music will "go big". I think he is just going to go with his gut and make music that he is proud of. We will get music sooner or later.

But we have no ideas if "adjustments were made." There has never been a date for new music from Adam. True. But it's May already and we don't have any new music yet - fine with me, I get it, but it looks like new music "fast" may turn into new music "soon" or "soonish", unless he surprises us. That could happen. Not everything can be planned either. Excluding post-Idol album (FYE), Adam has never put out new music quickly. He really didn't seem to start working until Dec-January, so seems like an Adam-ish schedule to me.  |

Just for those who were following my little brief interjections about RT...Roger made his reveal - it's a 7 minute film entitled Journey's End. And it looks like it is available on iTunes now. I'm at work so I can't watch the film now but I have downloaded it and will watch on my lunch break (around 3am) I'm guessing it's a long track with some other spoken stuff thrown in. It's about mortality and facing the September of our lives...and it's Roger being artistic and still trying things at his advanced years and I love the effort!

I think Adam is the type of artist who really needs to take his time to get into new music, feel good about it, and filter through it. He also had a pretty jam packed year last year. |

I know that is Adams style, and I am not questioning it. But some times, even Adam said he is a perfectionist. And he learnt from Pharell to just trust things. But him waiting so long in the past to release new music, has hurt him imo. In this day in age people just filter their music. So many types of artists, songs e.t.c. Adam took 2 full years to release his second studio album. From the 2009 FYE. Well actually Three years. I mean I am sorry but the music consumers conciousse, simply moves on. So I am not againgst the idea of an EP. Some cuts from his album, I think that would appeal to the 2017 average music buyer. OF course he does not have the massive publicity this time around releasing the album. He did with TOH. So I am interested in how the roll out plan well go. But I Don't see an album release this year at all, tbh. 2018 I think it well happen. Well see new music this year in some form I Think, but a studio album 2018.

Oh okay...makes sense. So he had an ambitious goal in December - a big year with Queen ahead and new music fast. I'm not surprised that adjustments had to be made, regardless of the reason. But we have no ideas if "adjustments were made." There has never been a date for new music from Adam. Exactly! Adam has not given any dates. Fans are making up desired timelines then saying he is not meeting them or he is pushing his music back because of Queen. |

Why would the publicity for #4 be different than he had for TOH? Same record company, same producers as far as we know. As for when a release, he does tend to tie in touring with how well the album sells so they might look at lead time. Does he want to tour next summer? Or take a year off. And then there's the radio station tours that he has to go on to "sell". He doesn't really seem to like those but if he needs to do them then what's that timing. But it sounds like he's still writing, having fun with collaborations, still thinking of it as a record. To me it really doesn't matter. The record comes out, you listen to the songs and all the newness is gone in an hour. ehh. I like my daily fix of Adamness, it really doesn't need to come with a soundtrack. Save |

My QAL Tokyo DVD/CD came in the mail yesterday from Amazon. It is really good! I was so excited when it came that I put the DVD in my player and it wouldn't play. My heart sank.  Then I remembered..you need to put it in the Blue Ray player for it to play.(Duh!)  So glad I invested in getting the DVD/CD now. The CD sounds great while driving in the car too! I got mine yesterday too and watched it immediately. Great picture and sound. Only disappointment was no STL or WWTLF or TSMGO. I knew the setlist was shortened, and loved the addition of IWBTLY....but really missed the "big" songs. Is this QAL Tokyo DVD same as QAL Summer Sonic? I have it in my computer and I watch it very often, it is so good. |
