This is a discussion board. People here are talking and speculating about everything. Adams hair - some like it blond, some prefer black the others his natural colour. Some people are actively hating the tattoos, others love them. His clothes - sexy, not sexy, boring, not fitting, the gladiator sandals, the blue aquashorts. Who is the next boyfriend, could it be Sauli again? Some want him to settle down, some enjoy him being single and mingling. Some fans think he should shut up about politics, some think he should be more outspoken. Some people think Shoshanna did a great job, others were partying when it was clear he obviously is not with her anymore. Some people are excited with QAL, others are bored.
And some people are worried about his career decisions. So what? Of course we know nothing. But why not also speculate about his new music, the people he is working with? Adam made some statements about his new music and now we see something is obviously different. Some people will support anything is puts out, others are more critical.
Personally I hope he will be putting out some kickass songs and I also hope he will not release independent. Without label support and radio his music won`t go anywhere - we have seen what happened with TP.

In my opinion there is nothing wrong with discussion. I would love some discussion actually. The only thing we do have to do imo is when we write down our own opinion about something we also say that it's our own opinion. People come to this board for information. When someone writes something down like it's the truth while it's speculation that can be seen as the truth and people freak out. It's a natural response.
I'm very curious about what he will come with as new music. I hoped that we would have heard something more by now about the sound or when we will hear the new stuff. When he had that BBC interview in December he said he wanted to put out music fast. A lot was going on he said. We already heard about the Queen stuff now, but I would love to hear something more about his new music also.
It seems to me that there is a lot going on already and things are set in motion that we don't know of. The little bits we get tell us that. I just wish those bits get a little bigger soon!

@deanerys I think you can see and argue Adams career anyway you want...and there are voices on here who want a big smash hit for Adam, want his PR-Team/Label to show more support, to get him on Award Shows etc... Understanable. In all fairness I think WBR did as much as they could. They don't have the best A&R team but the problem lies with the radio corporate gatekeepers who decide which artists they want to push. I'm not fan of DMG or Shoshanna. I see way too many artists who's music career is in the same boat as Adam but their management gets them on high profile gigs and awards shows that matters. DMG got too comfortable with Queen. Adam needs a cut throat like Scooter Braun. Adam needs a US based PR firm. I'm just a fan and I don't know much about the dynamics and intricacies of the music business, but I have been wondering all along why Adam didn't have a US based PR firm. For him as a US singer, I think cracking into the very competitive market in his own country would have made sense, despite the focus on the international market - so with due respect to Shosh I think a PR change/shift could be a good thing. I am not the one to judge if Adam's management "got too comfortable with Queen" but it almost seems that the collaboration grew legs on its own. Not bad either. Still, Adam is too exciting a solo artist to be overlooked in that department. |

It's the Freak Out (trade mark Niles) that makes everything crazy. What I've seen here today came perilously close to violating Atop's rule of not telling other members what to do. I was a second away from reporting a freak out post a few pages back. One thing to remember is nobody here knows anything. Nobody comes here with inside information, and one person saying something several times is not everybody saying it. Everything posted here is OPINION. Nobody should really have to say IMO although I do find myself gritting my teeth now and then when I see "We already know...." because that's really "We already think...." and yes some people often act like they have inside information. But guess what, I can interpret their facts alternatively, yeah well lol, with Adam we often don't have facts, we have clues.
Ok so topic. I think the people article was a misstatement of a clear checkable interview. So People fault. But hey, he was mentioned in People we can be happy for that. Everything else points to current writing and recording for a record. And there is so much of a toss up between he should just make music to satisfy himself and fans and the other view which ties Adam's success into our success which I think is much more narcisstic and leads to if Adam isn't successful, houshold name etc etc then my belief he was going to be was wrong and I'm stupid, he's not worth fanning.
Let's be realistic. Adam is never going to be Justin Beiber, he's never going to be Elvis, he's never going to be Michael Jackson. And based on their lives that's a good thing.

imho, ymmv etc, I soooo wish people would use the full reference/name when commenting on someone the first time....then go for acronyms. I have no idea or time to figure out who is meant by TP...so no....don't know how that went. When it comes to me as I get working, I may or most likely will not comment as the reference will have long been buried....sorry...frustrating..happens all the time, I know....

I have no idea or time to figure out who is meant by TP...so no....don't know how that went. When it comes to me as I get working, I may or most likely will not comment as the reference will have long been buried....sorry...frustrating..happens all the time, I know.... If I got it right, TP is Trespassing. |

Here's my feedback about discussions (including unpopular opinions) .... I think it's healthy! That's definitely what I am looking for when I come here (in addition to pretty pictures and getting my latest Adam news). All good for me as long as we can distinguish between personal opinions and facts.

Sorry, TP means Trespassing - Adam had a label but no support from them. As a result he was not able to put together a proper tour. He is in another position financially now but I am not sure he would be able to put together a tour like he did with TOH as an independent artist. |
