Maybe someone here can enlighten me. I was following various twitter convos today and was wondering, did something happen recently that would make ppl think Adam would be getting the short end of the promo stick for era 2? That's the idea that was being tossed around, and since I don't follow this stuff very closely, I don't know why people would think that. Has something happened that would make ppl think this? Is this the common held belief among fans? I mean, if so then why would he go with DMG in the first place? Obviously DMG had to have something to entice Adam away from 19, and if they were just going to fail at getting Adam Katy Perry-levels of promo, then why switch at all, ya know? Just curious. To my knowledge there was ONE person worried about it on Twitter and many who took the opposing view. I think it was just worrying. IMO, the management switch was part of Adam "taking the reins," as Evan Bogart, Corson and even Ed have said. IMO as a media professional, DMG has been very quiet on the surface because they are working a lot behind the scenes. They got Katy TONS of print coverage – in-depth interviews and multiple national covers. This take a lot of time though because lead time for most national magazine is about six months (some magazines can switch things around to cover timely stories, however, so it's not always set in stone). Actually, the "hiccup" in timing that more than a few people have said was the result of the management change says to me, they ARE working on a large campaign, but it is all Remember, we wouldn't have known about Out photoshoot (for which the story still hasn't transpired) if not for one random tweet. We wouldn't even know about the album photoshoot, if Adam hadn't told us himself. He has everyone around him REAL good at keeping secrets. While the label does the radio push, management is responsible for getting him booked on TV, magazines, web, guest appearances, etc. They may even do a lot of the radio as well (if they're more in-depth than a standard radio interview). I have no doubt that Adam, RCA and DMG understand the necessity of promo and that it is (yet another) an area where Adam excels. God knows Adam worked his ass to the bone from 6/2009 until GNT traveling the world and talking and singing until his tongue was probably ready to snap off its roller. I think after the tweets last week, the single is likely ready musicwise, it's the promo blitz that needs to be put in place. Was it only one? Well it's hard to follow along sometimes...I find these fan convos interesting and I always take with a grain of salt, but this seemed out of the blue for me and I was like...DID I MISS SOMETHING?! lol...

How the HELL am I gonna stay afloat after the single is released? Not to mention the ALBUM? What with: Monitoring my local Top40 station(s) Requesting on said stations Doing Hit Predictor and Rate the Music surveysVoting on all & sundry polls Staying caught up here & on twitter Defending AFL & his sales (no matter how phenomenal) on mj's Playing the video 1M times on VH1 What have I left out. I just know there is more. Anyway I'm exhausted just thinking about it. Well Rate the Music is getting ready for me. They sent me birthday wishes!!! shocked!!! Guess I had to give my personal information when I registered. I haven't rated since I don't know when!!! But they will get us all hitting their site soon!!! ...Adam ...get it out there!!! Bamafan... WOW...you are a fan!!! Tattoo, license plates ...hard to top those!

This is just a little bit OT from the current discussion, but I was wondering if anyone else felt the same way I do. I'm having a hard time staying caught up here and on twitter AND NOTHING'S ACTUALLY HAPPENING! It's fun and I love it but I'm worried. How the HELL am I gonna stay afloat after the single is released? Not to mention the ALBUM? What with: Monitoring my local Top40 station(s) Requesting on said stations Doing Hit Predictor and Rate the Music surveys Voting on all & sundry polls Staying caught up here & on twitter Defending AFL & his sales (no matter how phenomenal) on mj's Playing the video 1M times on VH1 What have I left out. I just know there is more. Anyway I'm exhausted just thinking about it. Exhausted but EXHILARATED!!! Can't wait! I CAN DO THIS!www.pic4ever.com/images/19.gif[/img]
LOL that just about sums up my time spent. ETA: only I stopped Hit Predictor, they kept slipping in Country on me., which was a waste of both of our time. Boy I hate country music with a passion. (sorry no offense to country lovers out there)
