Yay, that would give us lovers of ballads two of them He has had beautiful and emotional ballads on all his albums. Feel Something is one of them. No promotion, no tv performance, no radio play and hardly anyone hearing them but fans has always been the complaint for most of us. Not that he did not have any. But glad there is another one at least for fans to hear. Sorry, at this point I'm really over the whole promotion, radio play thing...too much stress after 10 years. I'm just happy when he puts ballads on his albums, 'cause those are my very favorite songs...and it's all about MEEEEEE lol.

I still have to catch up on everything that has happened today but... just five minutes ago I heard Superpower for the first time on a German radio station (they segued into with WWFM and a snippet from a live performance with Queen)!! Keeping my fingers crossed that it was just the first of many, many times. On which radio station did you hear Superpower? I haven’t heard it, because I wasn’t able to listen to radio today. But I just checked and Energy Berlin played it at 9.58pm. Energy was also the radio station, that played Ghost Town for the first time in Germany and later played it every 2 hours. It looks like they are going to support Adam’s new single as well. And between: I really enjoyed the Build Interview! And I‘m looking forward to the big ballad. And I‘m curious about the song, where Adam sings about Pharaoh. It was on SWR3 - I hardly listen to the radio anymore (yes, internet killed the radio star) but I just had a hunch because it was around the timeframe when they used to play new music. So I turned it on and they were just playing WWFM - which I felt had to be followed by SP - and I was right! Perfect timing...

True re active vs passive language... all I am saying is that to me Adam’s mastery of his native tongue sounds like a typical product of his educated middle class background...i.e. regular words used properly....nothing too spectacular, just normal ... am I living in some bubble? How bad is it out there? I agree that there are words we recognize when reading. Others we understand in conversation. But a smaller subset of words we can commonly summon to express a concept in spontaneous speech. Take the word "symbiotic." When was the last time you heard someone use that word in conversation that was not related to biology/science? I cannot think of when I last heard it before Adam used it very casually in his BUILD conversation. As to living in a bubble? I venture to say "yes, you are." I have a masters degree and worked in higher education for many years. It gave me a skewed impression of the vocabulary level and degree of articulateness of the general population. But now that everyone is posting comments on social media and the like, I am shocked at the low level of vocabulary, grammar and spelling skills I see. No, Adam has not used words that I was unfamiliar with (well, except for slang and club lingo), but he has definitely used words I do not often hear in everyday conversation. I see.. General population in this country is at some sub standard level you say... i’ll stay in my bubble then... as far as the use of “symbiotic” specifically - a few weeks ago we had a discussion re QAL (after the MSG concert which I managed to get all my kids to attend) and of course the “symbiotic” was used... because how else would you describe their mutually fortunate alliance? There is absolutely no way I would ever think of “symbiotic” as a special word, or as a word I “never hear used” Or I wouldn’t use myself... oh those coastal elites, they don’t even use the language the rest of the country is using... Social media - I am sure there are studies and PhDs earned on the subject... as an observer and to some small degree a participant I wouldn’t use it as an indicator or anything... the online vernacular is so weirdly skewed imo... but back to Adam - yes! I did learn the “urban dictionary” type meanings from him! I forgot all about those, but you don’t track that stuff anyway...
